This is completely random, but does anybody else do P90X? I've gotten into it recently, and it's the worst, most terrible, horrible, no good very bad thing I've ever done. It's also one of the best, most rewarding, and most addicting things I've ever done too.

I hate it, but I love it!

No, but I have read Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!

So you get my reference!

If you're interested in a different workout program, I can't think of a better one. I'm currently sore from my calves to my forearms, but even better, it gets you sore in places you've never known could be sore before. Now to just keep it up for another 65 years...

I haven't tried it, but my cousin's wife did it last year, a few months after having their daughter, and she lost her baby weight amazingly fast and was looking great really quickly! She posted her progress on Facebook... and while there were lots of complaints about P90X in there, she was all smiles when her hubby snapped pictures of her periodically and posted them.

That's great to hear. Did her husband do it with her?

Kind of. He started after her and I don't think he actually finished it. (It lasts for so many days, I think? Like a couple months or so?)

It's a 90 day rotation where you do a set of exercises for several weeks, then change to a different set, then a different set, etc. Since you're changing so much, you don't get that plateau effect that so many people see in working out. When you finish, you can either start back over at the beginning or do something else.

It may sound weird, but I think it's a great idea for married couples to do something like this together. They can each simultaneously push the other one to do better and help each other overcome obstacles and challenges. It's pretty much guaranteed to draw them together and build their relationship.

No, it's not weird. I think it's a great idea =) I don't particularly enjoy exercising and would love to have that kind of motivation and support from the future hubby!

I think it might be weird doing it before you're married though.

Yeah, definitely! I'd be embarrassed to work out in front of a guy at first!

Whether it's wise or not to do it, I guarantee you that if you finished an hour of plyometrics, you would absolutely impress any guy you were working out with.
