The Effect of a Woman

It's been two years since this happened. When I was in Wyoming training to go to Afghanistan, I had to stay in the same room as 7 other guys. Well it's the military. Guys are loud and funny and all that. We had the tv on the country music channel. Then they started to play Carrie Underwood's version of "How Great Thou Art". For about thirty seconds after the song, if you couln't hear a pin drop it was because we were so focused on what she just did. It is amazing how God can create a beautiful voice on a woman and just make any man just stop everything to focus on how Great he really is. It goes against all Science to think that anyone could have done that the way Carrie did.

It tells me that God really does use women's beauty to get our attention and that we should focus on the things that make us love each other. I know the world says "sex" andthe church says "discipline" but God ordered us to Love.

And we cannot Love if we do not pay attention to the fact that God gave us things like beauty not to tempt us but to get our attention. So things like public kissing and dancing should not be mocked or rejected. They should be celebrated.

Thank you for reading all that.

Tempting as it is to be cynical, that only comes from a place of weakness, and you are right.

I believe that all the matter is, the motivation behind those actions. I think some churches do not agree with public kissing and dancing since it was not an appreciaton of love or God's creation formed in man/woman but it was just a show of public display lust. Plus, whether those actions are honoring God or not. Just a thought :p
