I set my age brackets a bit wider than I think I would truly want to consider so that I'm not cutting someone off who's a bit over or under my "ideal" range, yet would be a perfect match for me. As for not allowing people out of the country to contact me, well...I tried that. It got out of hand with the number of people who wanted to "be my friend". Not saying this was the case with most of them, but enough of them appeared to want an easy way into the USA that I finally blocked international members. I know that some people are on here just looking for a friend, but I actually have real-life friends that I see regularly. (I'm not interested in dating any of them, though, so that's why I joined this site.) I don't guess that I really need/want to make a whole bunch of internet friends. I'm not trying to be mean about it, just realistic and honest. So that's my two-cents worth. Post Reply

I think we all have people outside of our parameters that check out our profiles. I am not interested in dating someone as young as my b younger brother or someone as old as my father. That is why I have parameters. I would only consider someone local and limit contact to the US only. I do this to avoid scams. Post Reply
