I'm hearing rummers that spring is here (through it doesn't look like it for many places yet) and I keep finding myself being strongly pulled to the garden section of my favorite shops. From planning out what to plant to day-dreaming about the potential harvest and how fun it is to spread the blessings around, I've come to love just about everything about gardening.

What about some of you? What are some of your favorit things about having a garden? Do you enjoy the simpleness of a few flowers, or do you undertake the massive and wonderful task of growing enough to make sure everyone around has more squash and tomatoes then they know what to do with? :D

Given the chance, I would be digging up a rather large garden! But where I'm living for the summer has left me with no real options for anything more then perhaps a small container garden. And that's only going to be if I can keep the raccoons out of it! :boxing:

I love gardening! I think I inherited it from my grandmother, and ever since she died I've enjoyed it more. I like doing vegetables more than flowers. Right now I have: radishes, onions (that aren't doing so good), snow peas, sugar snap peas, zucchini and, of course tomatoes. I'm going to be planting some strawberries soon as well. The last time I planted flowers they didn't last too long.

Right now is the best time for gardens in Arizona since in less than a couple months its going to get ridiculously hot in the summer.
