Some people say that you do not have to read the bible everyday. but i think that one needs to read atleased a verse everyday. do you know why i think so? apart from spiritual growth, i have always thought that;suppossing i get into a crisis where i may not get access to the bible, will i be having the word of God in my memory to hold on to? can i remeber what the bible says about certain things? and that can only be possible if i had been studying the bible-that is why i want to read atleast something in the bible every day,my urguement here is the more you read, the more you get to know...hehe

what about you? does anyone think the same? or what do you say about reading the bible everyday?

I completely agree with you sister on that note to read everyday but there is more to the reason why and I wiis ll share another one. For the purpose of God that you may be conformed to the very image of Christ and there is no other way but that you abide in the VINE. Many may say "I do what is right much of the time" if thats the case I see people who dont believe in Christ do the same and even better sometimes. Its the Word thats going to change you not what you say its the Word thats going to direct you not what you think its the Word thats going to conform you not what YOU know. Good post sister its always good to see a sister following the Word

I can't honestly say that I read the Bible everyday, which I am trying to change that.

But, I also think that we just need to experience the love of God first hand instead of always living in it. I read a book a while back (can't think of what it is called) but it talked about a guy that just started looking for wonder. He asked God to fill him with wonder, and after that he just started enjoying life more because he was constantly looking for the positives, looking for God showing his love in not only his own life, but in others.

I think that is more important than reading the Bible honestly. I would rather go through life never reading the Bible and just experiencing the love of God first hand.

That may sound weird, but it is kind of my view. I am glad I know Christ as a personal savior, but if I didn't know he was my savior because the Bible told me, I would still enjoy life believing in God that i did not see because I am feeling his love and know he is out there. If that makes sense.
