Posted : 28 Nov, 2011 09:30 PM I've been here for a couple of months and I first signed up for this to talk to people because I had moved miles away from my friends and family and was kinda lonely, then i met great people who I talked to all the time, but I didn't know if I was ready for a serious thing and neither did most of the people I talked to, but now I know what I want, thanks to time I've spent here. What exactly do you want from this?, are u honest? and do you find this site helpful at all? share your experience:) Post Reply

I am very honest in my profile, and very upfront. I don't want to every get in a relationship that won't work out, as I am tired of dating around. I have made a beautiful friendship with someone from here back when I was first on this site, and I have been happy with that. However, I just feel that my chances on here to meet someone for a romantic relationship are nil, but I am not worried about it. Post Reply

Posted : 4 Dec, 2011 08:21 PM Originally, to be fair, I thought I'd give online dating a shot to meet someone *kinda* close to me (at most ~50miles away) since I don't get out too much to meet new people. Since then, and much prayer and realization, I've realized that while I'd like a woman to call my own, I need to stop searching so much. I'm content with my life, but I'm not where I want to be yet to where I feel I could share my life with someone. And I don't just date around. So, I revamped my profile, put up the friends-only disclaimer and bam! I found this site more enjoyable to surf through the forums instead of the matches every so often. And lately, my profile has been getting viewed a lot! Been striking up conversations with people from Hungary, the Philippines, Ukraine, Canada, Mexica, South America, and all over the US! Still, though, I don't really have other options in my life right now (at least not ones I'm excited about), so that's why I'm here. Regardless of where/how I meet my future husband, however, I really want us to be good friends first. So, yes, I'm looking for marriage, but first we need to be friends. Post Reply

Posted : 15 Dec, 2011 11:25 PM Originally, like above posters I joined this site ready for a change and a chance at christian friends and romance. Since then i've become pessimistic about reaching that point. There are a lot of wonderful people on this site i've gotten to know, 1 or 2 really good friends, but I've also had a few play around with my heart and show true colors. So I've lessened my expectations and come to the realizations I should step back and do what we all know, trust in God and lessen my grip on the reigns to finding true romance. I agree with the above post, no matter how i find my soul mate I'll be extremely gracious, thankful, and praiseful. It'll happen, but I can understand if it's not from this site. I'll have all of you in my prayers!! Hope the fight still burns in your heart, your day is coming. Post Reply
