Posted : 5 Nov, 2011 06:40 PM So Ive been on here for a while now, maybe a little less than a year and Ive talked to one girl back in July but she was just being polite which I really respect however other than that I haven't had any luck with this site whatsoever, no one answers my messages and no one looks at my profile. I trust God and know he will send the right person to me and I'm extremely optimistic about it but I still can't imagine why I'm having no luck with with this site. I know I'm not the most attractive guy which might be the problem but my personality more than makes up for it, it's the same reason why the girls at my church don't like me but they are shallow hence why I'm using this website :laugh: Is everyone else in the same boat or am I doing something wrong? They send out messages to quite a few people, see that their messages get read, but don't get any kind of response. Don't give up though; be patient and trust in the Lord. And maybe hang out in the forums. And I feel your pain about being rejected for looks. I've met some shallow girls in my lifetime as well. (Some of them consider a lot of guys shallow, on the other hand) Some aren't that bad, though, hopefully. Stay positive, and you'll find someone. Post Reply

Going back and forth has made me better for it I think. Also, you might want to consider multiple sites if you really think online is the best route for you to pursue. This one isn't very big and lots of girls do that anyway and this one gets kinda marginalized. Post Reply

I find it strange that under half the msgs I send to people get a reply even though they are almost always read. I wonder if it is different for the ladies, but I wonder if us guys have a harder time getting a response due to the fear that we may turn out to be creepy internet stalkers or something :/ Post Reply

The only messages I get are the ones where it is a standard message and its a kind of fill in the blank to personalize it some. That or the men from other countries that make it obvious they want a trip here. I send messages and IM's, yet get nothing. Some will open chat, look at my profile, and close it straight away. I kinda feel like a disease or something...that or I am not pretty enough to make it past a quick profile look...I really don't get it... Post Reply

I started thinking I may not be doing it right or that I need to add more to my profile which I have. I am getting the guys that are not in the U.S. and I end up having to block them because they are way too agressive. I am pretty shy so meeting people when I am out is nearly impossible so I figured this is a good way to work on meeting people. I have tried other sites and thought I was not meeting people because most of the ladies there are posting half naked pic and since that is not my style I thought this would work out better but i was wrong again. At this rate God will have to send me my future husband through the mail.:ROFL: Post Reply

And I figure if God wants to use this as a gateway to something more, then I'll be open to it. But by changing my expectations, I'm not discouraged and can just appreciate it for what it is. Posted : 29 Dec, 2011 11:26 PM im having the same type of trouble.. i got on here because the girls in my church are kida young.. and the ones my age have been taken or are gone to school in diff states.. but i know God has someone for me.. i just have to trust him.. i do feel strange going from one profile to another.. i feel like im doing something wrong.. and finding someone near me.. well.. the closest i have come is in the southern part of the state i live in.. and i really cant afford to travel that far... i cant give up hope tho..making new friends is great.. but ya i have messaged a few..and got one to nothing.. i have made cool friends.. maybe it would not hurt to travel.. but for all u out there..having problems.. it will take time..and lots of currage..and trust.. and prayer.:) much luck..
