It's all about the commitment!Posted : 14 Sep, 2011 09:47 PMI saw something at a Christian Bookstore while on vacation this past week. It reminded me of what true love and a lasting relationship/marriage is really about...and that it's not something that simply happens by chance. True love and a lasting relationship/marriage happens when both the man and the woman choose "daily" to continually put love and effort into the relationship/marriage. It's called a "commitment"...and it has nothing to do with a wedding ceremony, how much money is spent on flowers/decorations, how many pictures are taken, or anything similar. It's all about the "commitment"!!! Love, if it's true love, is not spoken in words alone...but in actions. The same is true with a commitment...if it's a true commitment, then it will not be accompanied by words alone, but rather by a life-long commitment of actions. |

It's all about the commitment!Posted : 18 Sep, 2011 02:55 PMThat's so true. So many people focus so much on getting married, and planning the wedding and the wedding day, they forget what they are actually doing is more than just a fancy party. It's total commitment to that person, and sharing your lives together, for good or bad, being there for each other, to build up and encourage, to help and love them, even when life gets hard and you don't particularly "like" something about that person. |

It's all about the commitment!Posted : 22 Oct, 2011 09:35 AMI agree! It seems like some people on here only want to date and go real fast and then get married.... well what happens after all that? Reality starts to set in and then you realize you've made a commitment to that person for the rest of your life! Marriage is wonderful, scary, exciting and a day-to-day thing. |
