I have had over 10 guys message me saying that saving myself is respectful and that they are interested in me a lot, but they get discouraged when they see i'm a virgin and they are not. I just don't know how to reply...help! haha Post Reply

I would not be one to be discouraged by a woman that is doing that because that shows that she cares about herself which is a key thing for me. I wish I had saved myself for marriage but I have only been saved now for 3 almost 4 years now and since coming to Christ I have decided to stay pure in my new life. You need to find a guy that respects you for that and any guy that gets discouraged by it is not worth your time to respond. Just my thoughts on it. God Bless Eric Post Reply

Posted : 11 Dec, 2011 04:06 AM I agree with you Rainbowian but i think you should know that some people had sex before they came to Christ ( just like me...) which means that wrong choices were made-out of ignorance of the word!( Hosea 4:6). i think that the only problem may be the burden of guilt. but in Christ now we are a new creation, the old is passed (2 Corinthians 5:17) yes! that should not be an excuse but i think that a human being is definitely human! and it becomes worse if you do not have anything to hold on to like the word of God! It wasn't because I didn't have opportunity, it was because I chose to wait. I was faithful my entire marriage and since my marriage ended I have been chaste. Again, I choose to be. I have been considered a strange person by Christian and non Christian alike. It is refreshing to see that there are still some who believe being chaste is a good thing. Post Reply
