@Jesuslovesyouandme

no... generally it is good for junkies to be sent to a rehab! Most of them need it!!! They need the support and the help which comes with that. I was into softer drugs and was not as hardcore as some out there.

anthony, I thought of sending you a private message but I couldn't because I didn't meet the criteria..

anyway, I read all the testimonies here but it's only with your testimony that my heart leaped with joy while reading. I can recognize you as a brother in Christ... You're also washed by the blood of the Lamb and it is always so amazing to hear brothers and sisters rejoicing for the day that they have received the forgiveness of their sins.

I believe though that it wasn't our decision that this mystery is revealed to us. We received Christ not because we decided to receive Him but because it is His will to open the eyes and ears of those who are humble and contrite enough so they can see and hear the message of the Gospel!

Jn 1

12. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name:

13. who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

So those who were astonished by Jesus' teaching that they want to receive Him but weren't humbled down enough, no matter how they decide to accept Jesus Christ as Savior, it would be of no use. Yes, they might've heard it, but they wouldn't understand with their hearts. It's because it will be God's decision whether to open His eyes and ears or not. It is His will, not ours.

Ps.34

2. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.

Ps.69

32. The humble shall see this and be glad; And you who seek God, your hearts shall live.

Ps.149

4. For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.

Is.57

15. For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

I don't know if you or anyone in here would agree with me. But one thing is for sure, you and I have plunged in the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb, forgiven perfectly, emancipated from guilt, justified in Jesus!

Now we write of this testimony just as Charles Spurgeon said back in 1850, "As the night of Israel's passover was a night to be remembered, a theme for bards, and an incessant fountain of grateful song, even so is the time of which we now tell, the never-to-be-forgotten hour of our emancipation from guilt, and our justification in Jesus... ...O hour of forgiven sin, moment of perfect pardon, our soul shall never forget thee while within her life and being find an immortality!"

@jovi_loves_Jesus i totally agree with what your saying and i love that you backed up what you said with scripture! so do you have a testimony to share? it is true that God has to first call us but then it is up to us to decide whether to accept his call or reject it i just pray that anyone who is called will respond by accepting his call!
