....an out-an-out shortage of young ladies in my age group on this site. And that the ones that I've contacted don't really respond. What's up with that?

What I see and notice is that if a guy messages the girl-at least in my experience, the girl immediately assumes the guy is a creeper.

We're all on a dating website, they need to understand they'll get advances from men! And well, I have yet to have a woman message me first. I usually just get a very curt 1-line reply that says, "I don't really want to talk to you, I'm waiting for the guy God has for ME."

And usually, my first message is just something really simple. I pick out something the woman I'm messaging and I have in common (Because I do read profiles!), and I give a quick little, "Oh you're into ____? Sweet, so'm I! Anyway, how are ya? I'm Nick"

The thing with the creeper... boy if that is true. I'm not in an area with christians and getting online and meeting them for years now I've found so many christian girls that immediately think 'creeper alert!' first before anything. Most of them also had it taught from their parents how going out has rapists and all sorts of things and only thing that achieves is making them afraid when God tells you instead to not be.

What these women dont realize is that they guys they think are creepers may not be, and that will only turn those men off to women and make them fustrated. Actually I think being on a dating site has just made me even more fustrated.

I chose to go with dating sites, because there are not many (if not any) christian women at ym workplace, the church I used to go to didnt hardly have any youth my age (about 2-3), and I have graduated from college (which hardly had any women to begin with). So I'm really all out of options. Now the church I am going to now seems to have alot more youth my age, so maybe I'll meet someone, its all in God's hands

I think it is because most women are holding out for a better deal to be quite honest. Let's think about it. Guys have to do all the hunting, all the asking, all the initiating...so after awhile of being rejected, humiliated, cheated on, or whatever, we are just up for whoever meets our simple specs...for the most part guys aren't picky.

Females on the other hand don't have to do most of the hunting, talking, seeking...all they have to do is wait. So guess what they are waiting for? They are waiting for the best guy to come a long and basically sweep them off their feet. They are looking for the great white knight from above and our content to date Jesus until God delivers them at their doorstep.

I think if females had to do more of the searching and mover of the initiating that they too would become more open to more people. But I just think that overall most young Christian females make all of their mistakes early with really stupid guys and then become nuns till they run out of patience.

But I could be wrong.

In my own experience, I've messaged a handful of young ladies on here, and only one responded back, which is fine. My advice would be to be patient and keep looking. Or seek out friendships to begin with.
