I was wondering what kind of instruments people played. Most everyone I know either plays piano or guitar, but what about all the other wonderful ways out there to make a joyful sound?

I don't play anything yet, but I'm looking into getting a wooden flute and teaching myself if I can't find a mentor. I love the look and sound of the Native American flutes and I've been praying about finding a way to participate more in worship groups and to take my own personal worship time to another level.

So how about you? What do you play or what are you trying to/wanting to learn to play?

In school I played mostly Tenor Sax, senior year I also played Trumpet and Bassoon. I started playing guitar in High School. Now I mostly play guitar but I would like to learn piano someday. I enjoy leading the singing portion of my church's bible study as well as dabbled in song writing. Music whatever instrument you use be it physical or your voice, they are gifts from God and it is rewarding to use those gifts to honor the giver. Music is also a good equalizer and universal language. I find it relaxing after a long day to relax and play guitar.

Not that I play *well*, but I play the piano, drums, panpipes, and I'm learning violin. I may have to give it up though for now and go with something bigger like a cello though, because my left hand has some pretty serious nerve damage from the stroke I had when I was a toddler. I can't move my fingers well enough to change chords on such a small neck. :(

Been playing drums and piano though for about 10 years though, self-taught mostly, and the panpipes for about 5. I might pick up guitar and bass too while I'm at it... :)

I am actually a university music student, an I am there for Clarinet. I love it so much, I think it is the best instrument but I am slightly biased lol. I also play alto saxophone, piano, guitar and I am a singer. One of the best things about being in a music program is that by the time I have completed my program I will have learned how to play almost every instrument that is present in bands. Music means so much to me, its my livelihood and the thing that I am passionate about!!! It's also the best way that I know how to spread the word of God!
