Whose more shallow??Posted : 16 Oct, 2010 12:02 PMI'd say both are shallow? I mean, if I'm out somewhere and I see a girl I've never seen before and I go up to talk to her, it's based purely off of looks. There's no two ways about it. That being said, that doesn't mean it's lustful, or that I'm being shallow, but if I only see the girl, then I have to say it's based off looks, cause what else do I know about her? If I were blind, I'd have to rely on other cues. And then people could judge you for only talking to someone because of how they sound, if I was blind and deaf, I could only judge someone by how they feel, and boy oh boy does that sound wrong! But I hope you catch my drift...? |

Whose more shallow??Posted : 16 Oct, 2010 12:09 PMNeither is shallow. Someone has to be "pleasing to the eye" if your eventual endgame is marriage. And what is the point of dating or being a couple if you know you're never ever going to marry that person? |

Whose more shallow??Posted : 18 Oct, 2010 09:10 AMI agree with cowgirl1984, looks are apart of the reason you pick that person to be in a relationship. I think as long as it not the only reason your with that person, then your not being shallow. |

Whose more shallow??Posted : 18 Oct, 2010 09:30 AMNeither is especially shallow. Looks without personality would not make a great relationship, just as personality without looks would not make a great relationship either. There has to be balance...and fortunately for all of us, everyone has differing opinions of good looks and great personalities. |

Whose more shallow??Posted : 18 Oct, 2010 12:19 PMI'd say neither is shallow. On the contrary both are intentional in their search and both are (somewhat) balanced. |

Whose more shallow??Posted : 19 Oct, 2010 09:26 AMI don't see how assigning each scenario to a gender is supposed to make any difference, since both could happen to either one. |
