Lower our standard. That is what Jesus have reminded me.. Whether it's your principals in life, your qualifications of job, qualifications of a partner in life, ministry, commitment to others or to the Lord..

Sometimes, we just want the instant way, that's just how it works these days. Instant coffeee, instant food, instant credit, I believe the misused of instanity would cause us to fall.. As God appreciates time, and God appreciates processes and what we are going through, just one word. Keep up the qualities, and stick to His plans ONLY.

Personally, like me here, well to be honest I am looking for a new better job, I am looking forward to go to the States, I am looking for my partner in life. Simply irresistable, since we are on a dating site, lets discuss about my partner in life, shall we lol

Like many other people everywhere, we met various type of persons. And, while I was walking today, I felt very lonely and I was thinking hey if I accepted one of those proposals, I would not feel this way now (ack, very evil thought, I know and realize and terribly ashamed of myself), while the cases were, I know they were not for me. Then, I went to the church today (another long story on how I ended up at the church), my friend was reminded on how she has lowered her standard on partner in life. That pretty much stroke me, I mean (I don't know about you guys) but sometimes, I was thinking like, if I was very very lonely, almost give up of having no one to talk to, myself was saying maybe I should not put too high standard, and I should go for any man who approaches me next (not extreemly like that but sometimes my head could think of some crazy thoughts)..

Just a share tho =) another reminder of, whatever God told you to, just stick with it and be patient. You know the Words, you know God's standards (remember, not ours or others but Jesus only). Keep on track, His love endures forever to make you stick on His expectations and, just walk by faith that WE COULD GO THROUGH THIS WITH JESUS.

Hope this post would encourage you who read this and, JUST BELIEVE =)

Jesus loves ya all..

Love,

Your dear sister in Christ =)

hey Christine,

great point here!!! no instant husbands thank you very much!

I also think we should never lower our standards (I mean the things that are important in life like personality, being free from addictions, relationship with God, views on family. The looks or the income of the future spouse aren't that important, now are they?

The Lord has the best timing and He knows what how and when to provide for us. I know most of us get impatient - not being able to find a godly partner in our neighbourhood we all logged in here, didn't we. But it does not mean we should/are supposed to date or marry just anyone! Paul says that people who live in Christ are filled with the Spirit, and 'the fruits of the Spirit is love joy PEACE PATIENCE kindness goodness faithfullness gentleness and SELF-CONTROL' (Gal 5:22-23a).

Let's just give it up to Him (I did it yesterday and it's like a load off my shoulders... so far) and lower the pressure. One can still read through the profiles on this site and talk to some brothers and sisters without frantically thinking 'is he/she the one?'. God knows and wants the best for us. If we only let Him so that His will be done...

Blessings

Know what your standards are. Know what they mean. Make sure you live up to them.

Make sure other people know what your standards are. Make sure they know what they mean to you. Make sure they live up to them.

Brandon, again you are making me think. That's good, thanks! I will spend the day wondering what are the GOOD ways of communicating your standards to others. To live up to one's own standards seems a pretty obvious thing to do, but sometimes it might be tough eh?

Christine, what a lovely new picture you have, sister! :)

I'm reading about and understanding some pretty good values in Coach Wooden's Pyramid To Success. I recommend it to anyone.

@Brandon: yes, it would be very hard if we turn out on not being at the same page of our qualifications for each others. Mind to share a little about that Coach Wooden's Pyramids to Success? Seem like a gud one!

@Marianna: awww thank you lol I really like that term you use, no instant hubby! :D

I'd love to. Not too much though as I don't want to do the book injustice, or shortchange you. Basically it has the values it takes to be successful that are the building blocks, and the values that are the cement elements that create a pyramid with the top being success, and why they belong where they do on it (for example the cornerstones, the middle, the top, the foundation and other layers above and below), what they mean, and examples of what they mean and how they helped him achieve success, and what success actually is: "Success is peace of mind that is the direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming". Simple yet profound truth in it. I find it very inspiring and empowering in how it explains how your best really is good enough and how to be your best. It's only about 150 pages and it has a lot of quotes, references, and examples from the Bible and it's actually makes a very good daily devotion type book.
