A sad day in the pathetic life of Pat Robertson and the 700 Club

Pat Robertson says Earthquake Result Of "Cursed" Haiti's Satanic Pact. Personally, I think he needs to check himself into a clinic. Seriously he does. His evil reign of extreme conservatism will come to an end.

I would start boycotting from watching the 700 club if i were you.

Well I don't watch the 700th club, but he could be right. I mean I dont' wish anything bad to happen to the haitian people, but they have devouted themselves and their nation to the Devil. By doing so they are more or less choosing the way against God. God is a jealous God.

You may be right but keep in mind; Devil Worship or no Devil Worship, according to the scriptures no one is righteous plus we are under the same sin. You and I are flesh and bones. I can throw a bunch of verses including from Christ himself regarding this issue.

Here is a sample..

They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, "All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!"

John 8:7

As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;

Romans 3:10

Apparently really needs to read his Bible. It might do him some good, you know?

I'm not sure where the name came from, but Haiti is a largely Christian country, with Roman Catholicism professed by 80% of Haitians. Protestants make up about 16% of the population.

I know some missionaries that do good work in Haiti and have heard their stories of the people in Haiti. Yes there is some desire to learn more about God, however there is still a lot of work being done with witch craft and vodo doctors. You are right when you say that none of us are without sin. However, that doesn't mean that God can't punish people, aka, throw the first stone. In reading through the old testament, God was very deliberate in helping the Israelites fight their battles, however, if ONE man turned away from God's commandments, the WHOLE nation suffered. God has a right to punish those who He feels needs punished and who are we to argue against His actions or motives. I feel for the people of Haiti and pray that through this God would be exalted! There is no doubt in my mind that the majority of the people in Haiti feel that this earthquake is from the wrath of a god. If they could only use that belief to develop an understanding of the truth, how much more joyous their lives would be. I can't say that this earthquake was or wasn't an act of God, but I'm not going to say that it couldn't have been either.

So basically what you're saying is they had it coming because in your mind they all worship satan because the name of their country sounds like Hades.

No I don't believe that the people in Haiti worship satan because the name of their country sounds like Hades!!! That's obsurd! Do either of you know anyone who has ever visited Haiti and done mission work there? I do! They are a people who very recently claimed legion to satan for another 100 years! They are strong into the practice of witch craft and vodo doctors! I said, that I can't say that God did this as punish, but I'm not going to make a claim that He didn't either. As for biblical backing for my belief that God would punish a whole nation because of what one man did, read the old testament and story of Israel from the recordings of Exodus-1st and 2nd Kings! So are you telling me that Haiti is full of Bible believing Christians that go of the way of God's commandments???? I don't think that you are, nor am I saying that becasue of their name that they are devil worshipers. Maybe you guys need to do some research in the history of Haiti before you guys respond again. Reading up on the old testament wouldn't hurt either.

Well considering Christ as our example has a better approach in reaching out to prostitutes, sinners, tax collectors, etc than Pat Robertson.

Kkeep in mind. There are a ton of people who hates Christianity because of our bigotry. I could imagine someone (for example) who is an atheist was interested in becoming a Christian. However, he could've easily ending up hating us more because of his bad comments. The Christian religion does needs serious reform, otherwise people will think of us as total jokes.

FYI...I used to be an atheist

Remember, during old testament times; they used to stone people to death because of their sinful acts.

Rock on Jesus Christ!

I understand that due to people who claim to be Christians and are not, a negative outlook on the Christian faith can be percieved. However, I don't think that for those of us who not only proclaim Christianity, but practice Christiianity, tolerance is not acceptable. As for Christ reaching people better than Pat, I would definitely agree! I have to say in response to your comment on the Old Testament, the God of then, is the God of now. God is unchanging. While the times have changed, God has not. Don't forget that man didn't create the earthquake of Haiti. If happened. It may have been an act of God or not. 'IF' it was an act of God, we should not judge His actions. That is all I'm saying. Thank you for your post and comments.
