Why are all the people of romantic interest so far away?!

Maybe that's God's will for? What's the problem with a long distance relationship? Why do you want someone close?

I hear ya, girl. I only recently opened myself up to the idea of getting to know someone in another state. It can be scary, but I think it's great to really get to know someone without the physical getting in the way.

Obviously I haven't found what I'm looking for around the city I live in, so who's to say God doesn't have someone for me across the country?! Guess I'll find out! I'm definitely open to the idea now- why not?!

Good luck! :waving:

There is a man shortage where I live, but it's possible that other cities have the opposite, therefore leaving thousands of men looking elsewhere for mates. I really don't know.

There's a women shortage here lol That's why I'm looking on here. I think that when we look out to find a spouse I think most of us ideally would like to find someone close to us but I know I'm open to finding someone further away. That's where a site like this helps us find people we might be compatible that we'd normally not cross paths with.

because good things happen to people who patiently wait on God and distance teaches you that patience in this instant world.

I think that is a very good thought on the subject. Where I live there are no christian single men.. Its hard to meet someone. But on here you can talk to Christians from all over.

I know what you mean, although, another state would be nice even, I'm from Australia, and finding that most are from the us or the uk, which for me is not just the other side of the country, but the other side of the world, although, it may just have a lot to do with population density.

It's not the patience that bothers me so much, though I need to work on it. I am open to long distance relationships, but there is always this uncertainty having to do with knowing someone in person or through communication. On one hand, the physical side is not as distracting, on the other hand, the mannerisms and personality of a person cannot always be expressed over cyberspace. Intentional or not, we all have parts of ourselves that never show through outside of one-on-one interaction.
