Church recommendations in NJ

Hi all,

I'm a Brit who's about to visit New Jersey (just outside Newark) with work, which could become a long term placement or even permanent!

I'm hoping to find a decent church to worship in during my placement, and if I enjoy my time in the US maybe I'll take the offer of a permanent job.

Other than churches, what else should I go and see / do while I'm in NJ?

Thanks in advance for any advice...

Mark

not sure really, I think there's more to do in NYC. But I could tell you where to go in Watford, I use to live there. Hope you enjoy New Jersey:waving:

Hi. I would be happy to answer your question because I am a Native Jerseyan!!!! As far as things to do, you are not too far from the city. You can always get the train from Penn station. If you choose not to visit the city, there are YMCA's that you can go to for Recreation, Kean University has theater shows that you can go to (just check there website www.kean.edu for schedules), you can even check the schedule for the prudential center. I am not sure how far you would like to travel in Jersey but there is always Cape May, which is beautiful and that is about 2 hours away, Wildwood for the beach and the boardwalk, PNC arts center for different shows and plenty of other things. As far as churches, there is St. Anthony's in Elizabeth, St. Mary's in Elizabeth, St. Anthony's in Port Reading, Holy Family in Carteret and plenty of others. I hope this helps and enjoy your time in Jersey.
