The county I live in right now makes it difficult, but hopefully next spring I'll have moved to another state-if so, I fully plan to watch for acreage in an area where living off the grid would be a possibility. So how many acres do you have? Are you fully off the grid, or partially? Wood stove? Pellet stove? Or a climate where winter heating is not necessary? Wind or solar power? Have you built a solar water heater, or ordered one factory direct? How far from a city do you live, and how do you manage internet/computer use and a possibly job commute? Or if you don't deal with these issues, what would you recommend to someone who might? Post Reply
