Admin	neighbor died in a fire and grandson trying to save her Posted : 8 Dec, 2010 11:54 PM 3:00 pm monday, on my way home i saw my street surrounded by fire trucks and ambulances. As I drove closer I saw flames reaching as high as the smoke in the sky. "My home is on fire" I thought. I had to park down the street because traffic was permitting me to go any futher. i ran as fast as i could, untill I was pushed out of the way by a fireman comming around the corner clearing the way for my neighbor to be placed in the ambulance. Her first layer of skin was burned all over her body and she no longer had hair. Her screams and cries are still imbreaded in my mind. As i went around the corner, family and children were screaming and holding on to each other covered in ashes. I did a quick "are you okay?" her grandson was shaking. "I had her in my hands but couldn't pull her out. her whole body was on fire but she was too heavy for me, and i tried to put her out with a garden hose. She just kept cying "please help me"." he couldn't stop crying and I just hugged him. her friend was being taken in the other ambulance with burns all over her back. I ran to my home (right next door) where flames were 3 feet away from and grabbed my dogs. the fire fighters did a great job making sure the flames didn't reach my home. I didn't even stop and pray with anyone. i feel so ashamed, i'm suppose to be a woman of God. My whole being was in total shock and it wasn't until 9:00 pm and after my son was in bed, when I broke down and cried "I mean hard." I'm embarassed to share how reacted to this, but I'm praying no one judges. Today her friend that was staying with her and burned too, came over with her son to use my sink to wash their hands. She was trying to see if there was anything left from the fire, but everything was destroyed. My neighbor/friend who stuck in the fire the longest, died Monday night at 10:00 pm. Please pray for Paulie's (my neighbor who passed on,) friends and family that need healing. Please also prayer for her friend and her 17 year old son, for they are now homeless with nothing but the clothes on their back. And for her grandson who was quite the hero and ran into a burning mom to try and get grandma out. Post Reply
View Profile History	neighbor died in a fire and grandson trying to save her Posted : 9 Dec, 2010 12:56 AM Dear Miss Joyful, will pray for those people... can't say that i would have reacted any differently than you had in such a terrible time as that! i'm not at all discounting the great loss to these people in this tragedy, but thanks be to God for His protection over you, your son and your own home which could have easily been lost too! maybe in all this there is an opportunity to be the good neighbor and share Christ? Don't beat yourself up over what you did or didn't do. No one knows how they would react in a situation like that. View Profile History	neighbor died in a fire and grandson trying to save her Posted : 11 Dec, 2010 09:52 AM Joyfulsmile,this is so sad i could'nt control the tears.I suggest that you go & personally consult your Pastor or a very close Christian friend who is filled with the Holy Ghost,since these are one of those situations that the devil tries to take over & ruin your life with.God is in control,so i know that your not guilty,it's just that you did'nt know that this situation would occur.I will also pray for you that everything will go alright with you & your neighbour & i'll also pray that they wont be any problems with the family members,since the devil likes to use these things to make us Christians look like hypocrites.As i've said earlier,GOD IS IN CONTROL!!Take care,in Jesus Name,AMEN.:prayingm: Post Reply

Sometimes, we don't always think to prayer at a time of crisis but God knows your heart!! You did what I believe He would have done showed comfort and compassion!! My prayerare with you all!!
