I am struggling with lonliness and depression. It seems that no one wants to get involved with a woman who is depressed, even if she is trying to get better. I met someone here that thought could work, had my hopes up too high and had them dashed. I should of known better.

My spirit feels weary, so very tired. I am trying the best I can to get back to God. That is all I can do. I so many times feel stuck. Today, I wrote out my prayers to the lord. Even though it's gloomy, it seemed to help. All I simply want is to be loved and receive comfort. I do not think that is too much to ask.

Dont let yourself fall into depression coz that is one way of Satan to make you to commit sin. Be strong, enjoy you life, dont forget that God loves you. Just continue to pray and be patient for Gods perfect time.

God bless!

Dear sis, I think u have decided to head the ONLY right direction. Cast your suffering, anguish & weariness on Him.

Declare that lonliness & depression have no power over u, for He endured that on the cross & destroyed it, even if u don't feel that, in Christ u can conquer.

Our Lord is a great refuge & shelter, His love will fill up your heart with peace & joy. Jesus' love is so great to redeem, lift up, heal & do wonders beyond our expectations.

I'm sure He will send the right person for u .

" This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. " Psalm 119:50

Will pray for u.

Phoebe.

When a person is depressed, it does not mean they are in sin. Many people have a chemical imbalance. It is like if you have a broken leg, well you put a cast on it. Well, it is like that for those who down, they need to take medicine for it so they can feel better. God gave us doctors, and also Psychiatrists too. I have been feeling better these days. You cannot say a person is in sin, becauase they are depression when you do not know their story.

Dear Seuss, :waving:

It is my opinion that none of these people are claiming depression as a sin. Each has offered their support and advice to you in love. Each has said they would pray for you just as you requested.

Dear sister, Satan is trying to use your illness to bring you down further by putting those thoughts in your mind. You must pray to God for the strength to fight him when this happens. You have come to the right place for added strength and support because these people mean you no harm.

We have all had hard times in our lives and we each have to go through this so our relationship with God can become stronger. He can cure your illness! But perhaps this has a reason behind it. We do not and cannot know, only He does. I promise you this....God will strengthen and comfort you. Keep your eyes up and on Him.

This too shall pass.

With much love,

T

I do take meds. I know I need to work harder at my recovery. Sometimes, it is as if I have gone so many steps backward then a few steps forward. I know that time heals.

I am working on forgiveness. We all make mistakes. I still am learning the hard way. Depression is not a sin, unless you do not confess it to God and work on your issues related to it. Turning away from God, no that is not a good thing.

I have learned a lot from life and relationships. I hope and pray that others do too. It is a school in this life, including love, relationships, dating, and possibly marriage.

I know you mean well, but this is not true. Until you have walked in my shoes, you cannot understand what it is really like. I am not meaning to sound nasty or unkind, but it is sometimes really difficult to admit that I struggle with depression because I am told I am in sin and that hurts a lot.

Then, to be honest I do not want anything to do with other christians. I do not want to be that way. Depression, or mental illness - there is a lot of stigma about this. I wish that more people would be open to what is going on around them.

This is a never ending epidemic, that sometimes people do want to look at and try to understand. So, pls try to be sensitive to those who are hurting deeply cause we all are one family believing in one God and savior.

Dear Seuss - You are right, we should not judge you or any one who suffers from depression. It can happen to any of us through certain life experiences and health issues, trauma, etc. The important thing is to seek help for it from professionals as well as ask God for healing. Both needs to happen, not just one or the other.

You are doing this and you will overcome it - it can be beaten. Take good care of you - eat well, exercise (go for a walk) when you feel down, enjoy the beauty around you and thank the Creator for it all.

If you like music, put on some happy tunes.

Remember - You are a child of the King. God loves YOU.

We care about you here, too.
