Hi everyone, I would like to ask for prayer for the family and friends of a good friend of mine. Friday morning she was in a bad car accident, it took them about an hour to get her out of the car. She was flown to a hospital with a broken femur and considerable brain damage. She was put on life support and her family decided to take her off life support at 5pm Saturday. This is hard to share as I have spent quite a bit of time in tears over this loss. I do know that God has a reason for everything - but at times I just don't understand, and its hard to accept that He has a reason and just move on. So again, please pray for M.G.'s family and friends.

Hello jes :)

I know there's nothing I can say to take away your pain but I would like to say that I can sincerely empathize with you. I am a paramedic and Sunday was a very bad day at work. We had two critical baby patients within a very short time of each other and, because it's a small hospital in a rural community, we (EMS) help the ER staff (one doctor, one LPN and one RN) when they get busy. So it wasn't just a "pick 'em up and drop 'em off" situation. One of the babies (6week old), I beleive had Shaken Baby Syndrome. The other (18 month old) was a twin, they both had a congenital heart deffect and both had to have open heart surgery. The other twin's surgery was a success. But this little baby girl died on the table and was resusitated, but she suffered severe brain damage and Sunday she was having serious heart problems.

Like you, I know everythings in Gods hands and who are we to question Him, but it sure would make things a little easier on us. :) Ive asked "WHY?" many times. I suppose this is where we really have to show Him our faith. We have to know He has a reason; we may never know what that reason is, but KNOW there is one.

I've seen some very tragic events, some similar to yours. I hope this doesn't offend you, but sometimes I feel better about those tragic events like your friends if they are organ donors. Several lives can be drastically changed for good from one persons selflessness! It's a beautiful thing!

My uncle passed away in a car wreck when my father was very young, so I never met him, but my grandparents decided to donate his organs. A couple of recipients even contacted them!! It was a very good thing!! It brought them some good out of such a bad thing.

My prayers are with you and your friend's family,

T

Nahum 1:7

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him.

Pray.

I will too.

Jess, so sorry about your loss. I will pray for God to just keep you. Proverbs 18:10... The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.

God is with you and your friends family. God bless you all.
