Being a Marine was easier than this!Posted : 4 Aug, 2009 09:59 PMJust so you all know that has double meaning; First, and most importantly, it was a WHOLE lot easier than divorce was, and is. Secondly, it was easier than having an online profile that says you're available and hopeful. I jest with the comparison, but the truth is, in the Military (at least the Marine's and Army) you learn discipline and respect, and how to follow first...THEN lead. You know what is expected and how to respond. You rehearse, rehearse, and rehearse some more...and then some more....I should probably remember another familiar duty; Hurry up and wait! That is what this is. I hurried up, and now I'm divorced. ...and wait! This whole online deal is like a resume on myspace...or a recipe. Mine must be for liver. or else a doughnut...sweet, but I'm not on your diet. Divorce has devastated me, as it does, and the closest thing I have to meeting people old and new is here on the 'puter. SAD, but true. I long to encourage and exhort, but I am not going to be here for much longer, I think. Don't anybody take that wrong...I see wonderful people. Keep it up! Oh, and God bless Starbucks! |

Being a Marine was easier than this!Posted : 5 Aug, 2009 12:28 AMdear dave,, i feel your pain bro.. if you do go i wish you the very best.. but id rather see you stay around and help encourage and exhort others.. i think if youll loosen up a little bit and relax and have some fun here .. joke around a little.. just have fun and dont make it so serious.. ive found in life that if you push to make things happen before their time.. it just makes ya miserable.. so i just relax and let life flow and come to me.. ya gotta be happy on the inside first.. the good LORDS there inside you.. you just gotta relax and ask and let HIM work out the pain and let contentment in.. when you get content with yourself then happiness comes and itll overflow out to others.. and theyll be able to see it and feel it.. and itll be the difference between day and night for ya.. hang in there dave and hang in there with us im hopin.. will be prayin for ya either way.. |

Being a Marine was easier than this!Posted : 5 Aug, 2009 11:09 AMO'tay. I'll stick around and stick my neck out. It can't get much more cut off anyhow! :) I needed to hear something--and sometimes that is enough. I would rather treat this as an opportunity instead of a marriage resume. FUNNY you would mention being too serious. That is exactly the conclusion I get about all this! Heck--save the serious for when it's time and have some fun with this, huh! (Note to self). |

Being a Marine was easier than this!Posted : 6 Aug, 2009 06:16 PMYour frustration is felt. Divorce is never easy and being alone is often another empty bottled up feeling. There is a time for everything that's devine and your time is approaching. Stop for a minute a review some current affairs. I was watching the news today and this beautiful young woman was a new bride. But guess what, she paid $1200 for a hit man to kill her new husband. Ask God to direct your path and he'll lead you if you trust. "If you trust and believe". Just my thought. Be encouraged. |
