AngelOfMercy60^ View Profile History	Helping Family Drug Addict Posted : 29 Nov, 2011 09:15 PM My niece & her2 boys 3 & 7 have moved in with me after she had her husband leave because they couldn't get clean from drugs together. She has gone through the withdrawal process but between that & dealing with her husband.. & her out of control kids.. Stress has been high, both on her & my part. She is like a daughter to me, we are closer than she is to her mother. Her kids are more like grandchildren to me. She is attending church with me when able & sometimes when not. She does express that she does want to attend but don't want to push her when she doesn't want to go. The pastor at the church used to be a drug addict himself & many members are recovered addicts, along with myself. So it's an ideal church for her attend. The kids love going & attend regularly with me. I do encourage her to pray which she says she does when things feel out of control. It's a start... She is still head over heals in love with her husband but he is showing no promise of getting off drugs or attending church, he is also manipulative & every other word out of his mouth is a lie... They do live in separate cities now but are in contact constantly. And she caters to him by bringing the kids to see him. He doesn't work or pay child support & it ends up coming out of her pocket. The kids always return out of control usually after they have just started getting under control. Now I know this is normal to an extent when children return from time with another parent but this is extreme. Generally you get the jist of things. Please we need your prayers. For me peace, patience, discernment & wisdom. For her... to trust Jesus, accept His help, stay clean & do what is right for the kids.. Also wisdom when it come to her husband. For the children control of their anger, confusion & for them to have consistency in their lives that includes Jesus at the center. I thank you for letting me vent & for any prayers sent our way...
