Posted : 1 Jun, 2011 02:36 PM I don't know how you will feel about this...my dog (Trevor) is going to be 16 years old in Sept....I got him when he was 5 weeks old..he is not doing well and I am going to have to have him put down tomorrow by the vet...I would like you to please pray God takes him in his sleep, so I don't have to do it this way...also please pray for my kids, especially my son, who has never know life without Trevor...He has been a part of our family for so long...it's just hard to let go but I really need God to take him and not me have to put him down...thank you all for your prayers. How lucky he has been to have a wonderful, loving family like yours to take care of him and give him a good life all these years. He will always remember you when he passes over the rainbow bridge. View Profile History	Please pray! Posted : 2 Jun, 2011 02:18 AM Thanks, to you both.. I never heard of the rainbow bridge...before?? God didn't take him like I had prayed. I told him that he was going to meet Jesus today because I truly believe that!! Heaven is so wonderful and great...well then Trevor will have to be there for it to be wonderful and great for me someday, so I know Jesus will keep him there til I get there...I told him we would all be together again..I just can't imagine coming home and him not being here anymore but He can't go on like this...he's not living anymoe just suffering!! I love you both and thanks again!!I just have to get through work today and then let go of my best friend!! Post Reply

I have to tell you that my sister sent me that Rainbow Bridge Poem...how comforting and sad at the same time it was....I could not understand why God didn't answer my one prayer to please take Trevor in his sleep and not make me put him down...my sister made the comment that Trevor went from my arms to the arms of Jesus, she said wouldn't we all like to have it that good when we go!!! That is why God didn't answer my prayer because He knew Trevor needed me to hold him until He took him!! I have finally found peace and comfort...I thank you for your love and understanding how hard this can be...not everyone gets that...Thank you and I thank God for not answering my prayer the way I wanted Him too!! It's hurts so deep. :( On the Rainbow Bridge website, you can put up a memorial (from what I remember) for free. It's somewhat cathartic. Maybe it could help you and your family.
