I'm not understanding the controversy surrounding the Tim Tebow pro-life commercial running during the superbowl. We show ads for Viagra, violence, sex, girls dancing in bikinis, why not this? Don't all ads reach out/cater/target/try to grab a certain demographic in our population? It's not taking away "women's right" to choose to abort their baby, it's showing a different perspective. What's wrong with it?

Because it's not politically correct and makes people feel guilty. Seems like it's a pretty major trend to destroy or ignore anything that makes you feel guilty or wrong...

I'm pretty sure each commercial is paid for by whatever "organization" runs it. Those slots can go for close to a million dollars for a thirty second ad. That being said, I'm pretty sure the NFL commision has final say in what ads they run. They don't have to show them all. I agree with the "doing away with things that make us feel guilty." And I absolutely agree it is happening, however, this is not the only commercial to be banned. See if you can google "banned superbowl commercials." I saw one that was pretty gross that was simply about guys, gas, and lighters. It got banned too, and had no religious or moral "point" to make

It's called "FEMINISM"!!! You can blame organizations like N.O.W. and Choicematters.com for trying to convince you as a woman that it's somehow wrong to believe in anything other than what they believe. Even you as a woman are not protected from such organizations as a woman unless you strictly adhere to their narrow minded and selfish mantra that has been uprooting such things as 'the value of a life'.

They will always try to convince you that you are somehow "oppressed" if you don't believe that killing a life inside you is WRONG!!

If you will notice... they actually protested the commercial BEFORE they even got a chance to see it. Strangely enough, when the commercial didn't turn out to be near as damning as they thought it would be.... they then shifted their focus on it being "violence against women" when it showed Tim tackling his mom as a joke.

As a young woman, You have to start understanding and educating yourself as to how pretty subversive the whole thing really is. And the only way that more ads will be able to be played like that is if Christian women start backing such organizations down.

I've been nothing BUT impressed with a man like Tim Tebow. In the world of sports, where everything usually reduces itself to money and sex, I can say that Tim is one of the few athletes I respect due to his willingness to be brave and take a stand amidst everybody else. He literally shows what one man CAN do, and to give focus to God, Jesus, and Christianity in the face of all the adversaries....

He is ONE MAN... Imagine how it could be if all the Christian women lined up to back him up by telling media outlets that you want MORE of that stuff.

Recent polls show we are still a seventy percent Christian and conservative nation. But it's the minority movement that actually wins because Christians are very passive in not demanding options to what the media feeds us. So.... you can see how the phrase "the squeeky wheel gets the grease".....

Change can happen... but only when the same people who are being as vocal about the political situation by the "tea party" movements are as active in "moral movements"..... because whether anybody knows it or not.... they are ALL tied together.... especially in the case of the Tim Tebow ad....

So.... RISE UP LADIES... The MEN could sure use your help...

thanks

Yeah...men can't really be very effective with this problem, because we'll just be dismissed for being chauvinistic, oppressive, and sexist....this horrible abortion thing needs women to take a stand.
