Even without the scene where he goes to Nut heaven and almost gets to eat his almighty, his devotion to his nut struck me as being akin to the way the world sees devotion to its gods. He wouldn't share with the able bodied He was guilted into sharing with a crying woman He panicked when it wasn't in sight He risked life and limb to find it He was out right vicious if the nut were threatened He went to great heights to show his devotion to it He forsook it for a time to have a mate He left his mate to go back to it He met his mate while pursuing his nut He caused natural disasters in the pursuit of the nut He never actually takes the nut inside himself Anyone else?
