What does submission mean to you?

The word Submission seems to imply forced servanthood, which Messiah is not about.

The term used in the Greek hypotássō (from 5259 /hypó, "under" and 5021 /tássō, "arrange") – properly, "under God's arrangement," i.e. submitting to the Lord

This seems to imply placing oneself under another but voluntarily, not coerced, forced,or manipulated.

James 4:7-8. It means to me as submit to God and say no to Satan. Obey what God demands and give up sinning .

Quiznos .

I stopped doing many sins as drinking, seeking remarriage, pride, and more. Continuing getting rid of many other habits. All goes down in time in most of us.

The wrath of God comes ON THE CHILDREN OF DISOBEDIENCE.



We walked sometime in covetousness WHEN we lived in them.



Now we also have put off along with uncleanness and covetousness, which are ALREADY PUT OFF, also now PUT OFF IS: anger, wrath, malice and filthy communication, no lying one to another as the old man IS PUT OFF WITH HIS DEEDS?



Colossians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;



FORNICATION, ALL UNCLEANNESS AND COVETOUSNESS, NOT NAMED ONCE AMONG SAINTS, NEITHER FILTHINESS OR FOOLISH TALKING, NO VAIN MAN CAN DECEIVE US, BECAUSE OF DOING THOSE THINGS EVEN ONCE, THE WRATH OF GOD COMES ON THE CHILDREN OF DISOBEDIENCE.



IF THEY DISAGREE, BE NOT PARTAKERS WITH THEM



WE WERE SOMETIMES IN DARKNESS,.....BUT NOW...... LIGHT IN THE LORD,,



Ephesians 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:



NO CORRUPT COMMUNICATION OUT OF THE MOUTH.



ALL BITTERNESS AND WRATH AND EVIL SPEAKING AND MALICE IS PUT AWAY..



Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.



SUFFER IN THE FLESH TO CEASE FROM SIN



NO LONGER LIVING THE TIME IN THE FLESH TO THE LUSTS OF MEN, NOW TO THE WILL OF GOD



TIME PAST SUFFICED US TO FULFILL THE WILL OF THE GENTILES IN LASCIVIOUSNESS AND LUSTS AND ABOMINABLE IDOLATRIES/COVETING



THEY THINK IT STRANGE THAT YOU DO NOT RUN WITH THEM STILL TO THEIR SAME EXCESSES OF RIOT, LEFT ONLY WITH SPEAKING EVIL OF YOU..



1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:



THEY SHALL RECEIVE THEIR REWARD OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS(WHICH THEY FULFILL)



PLEASURE TO THEM TO RIOT IN THE DAYTIME WITH THEIR SPOTS AND BLEMISHES SPORTING IN THEIR OWN DECEIVING S WHILE FEASTING WITH YOU..



2 Peter 2:13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;



WALK HONESTLY? NOT DISHONESTLY, WHICH IS THEIR RIOTING STRIFE AND ENVY, SHAMING HIS FATHER...



Romans 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.



Proverbs 28:7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.

Depends on the context. If you don’t have a context then a dictionary definition with possible ranges of meaning is what you want.
