Why so self-righteous?Posted : 29 Jun, 2009 01:01 PMI see quite often in many Christians these days the stigma that you have to fit a certain stereotype just to be considered a "good christian" or someone they would "associate" with. The Lord said that He is the one to pass judgement on humans. Not other humans. We are all sinners people, all in our own ways. |

Why so self-righteous?Posted : 30 Jun, 2009 08:23 PMI agree. I'm definitely trying to be more open-minded about people and not judge. It does no good and usually you find out that you were dead wrong anyways. It's good to be open-minded. |

Why so self-righteous?Posted : 7 Jul, 2009 05:29 PMRomans 10 would a great place to begin a discussion on this topic. Paul rightly tells us that the basis of man-made religion is the need to assert one's personal righteousness. He then explains that outside of what Jesus did for us, there is absolutely nothing righteous that any of us have done. Before salvation, the Bible says we were children of wrath. |
