Discuss Christian Morals, Ethics and Honorable Character. What are your standards and what do you look for in others?Posted : 16 Jul, 2019 04:55 PMAhem . . . sorry for stating what I believe to be obvious, but our standards mean very little if anything, the only standards we should be concerned with are God's, and His standards are spelled out all over the Bible. As such it is our individual responsibility to familiarize ourselves with them, and NOT up to some self proclaimed "Elder / Pope / Messenger" or whatever to dictate to us how we should live our lives. This is not to say that we don't need elders, just make sure their teachings are true, and not self-serving. If they glorify anyone or anything other than God . . . RUN . . . |
