If he findeth a mate he findeth a good thing and the FAVOR of the Lord...LEARNING TO LOVE
"Recently, several people have come to me with the same dilemma. As one said, "John loves me and wants to marry me. He's a terrific catch, but I don't really love him. Should I marry him anyway and trust that love will come later?
A perplexing situation, yet one over which some of you may be pondering tonight. Ask yourself, "Do you think you could grow to love this person only if they met certain conditions... stayed healthy, maintained an adequate job, provided for your needs and fulfilled your expectations?" If so, what you feel may be "conditional love"...love that survives only if certain conditions are met.
What God wants to develop in both you and your partner is His unconditional love...a love that can say to the other person, "No matter what you do, how much you change or what you might lose, nothing can destroy my love for you!" But there are things one could do to kill that love you had for them...best for you would be to forgive them even if you had to leave them for what horrific thing they may have done,,,
Are you willing to risk going through whatever circumstances arise with this person to learn this kind of love? Think about Paul's prayer for you: "...be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints...what is the breadth and length and height and depth (of it); (That you may really come) to know...through experience for yourselves � the love of Christ which far surpasses mere knowledge (without experience)..." (Ephesians 3:17-19, AMP)...we are talking about love here...not tips or techniques but the experience...its all about intimacy with God...to get involved in living the adventure...knowing love of God and sharing it, not learning about it...
I pray for each man and woman on this sight looking for love and companionship, ... not to live a lifestyle outside of the will of God for Christians ...that in our search to have a marriage partner and companionship, love, romance, that woderful good thing God created when a man and woman become head over heels in love, the Lord is a God of desire, thats why we desire,have heart yearnings, longings, and passions, But be longggggsuffering so he can bless you with what is good, clean, decent, and upright...
He is a good God and WILL NOT withold ANY GOOD thing from you... not loose sight of our Fathers call on our lives, that we would not fall into the hands of the enemy..."He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners - to comfort all who mourn. ... a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor" (Isa 61:1-3). ...is not it awesome how fierce God is...can you really see him in all this...
He is not a coward timid or shy but a warrior heading for battle skimming across the universe ready for battle...could you see him in his position ready for the fight saying what have you been up to Satan...and the reply going to and fro upon the earth...and God taking up his awesome stance and with superior athority asking have you seen my servant Job and how upright he is....you know the story...and what was Jobs end results...he recieved twice as much from God what the enemy had taken...do you see our Fathers power, athority, might and love...I love it, I want to serve that God...the one true God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ ...
To all my brothers and sisters in the Lord will you not say with me in the face of the enemy because our God will not forsake or fail us...never give up
I know it takes time to be friends and fall in love but so much of that is just lust or loneliness outside of commitment if we are not careful but what the enemy means for our harm God means for our good if we will not be rebellious or stubborn to Him..Im looking for a marriage partner that loves God our Father and wants to serve Him thats the best I can describe it...if you are a someone really looking to serve the one true God and His son Jesus Christ your lord, I think you will know what Im sharing here....God bless you!
Talk in the community and family that we are a part of, so please take time to communicate...I believe it is helpful for all of us that are truly born again christians and not to hurt feelings etc with our search to have companionship...that a community of believers it will help to have honest input from each other.
My calling is buried pretty deep but Im beliving there is something I was meant to do that will bring me full alive , a calling of risk with God born out of faith...someone to walk in His light.
If you are still reading this I pray it is God that brought you thus far and I would like to be a little bold in my sharing and I ask God now to help me be consistant with His word and what He is which is Holy and Spirit...its God in Christ in us to taste and see that the Lord is good...that the thing I never experienced with a mate could still be experinced ...intimacy with God is something way beyond what I used to think in stoic religion...
God is the creator of the universe, of sex , of love , of romance, of everything good and He did say behold it is good...Yes, I know about the fall of mankind...but look at what God wanted and will have for his man again...a garden of delight.
I understand why the Lord put that in the confines of marriage and that bed is undefiled and how many marriages the enemy wants to lead men and women off in pornography or sexual affairs...I knew that could be enjoyed with one partner and could grow ...I always wanted that...so now Ive learned growth in the Lord, trust God to meet the need when its time..its about Him...its not about me ...it is for his glory, for His namesake, His goodness...
I will say again its not the learning of tips and techniques...its all about intimacy with our Father...He wants you in the fight , in the adventure, in the moment and in the romance with Him. He is and forever will be a God of desire. I so long for this wonderful God and His son the Lord Jesus Christ to fill me and lead me...my cup runneth over...I.d like to experience that..surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,,,is not God incredible,,,the inner man, you have that heart of a champion and we can have the mind of Christ, just put it on....I so long to share this...
I wish I could really share my heart here, but maybe some day God will bless me with what I was really called today and I will not live my life out here as a cold timid soul that never knew him...God has a plan, His plans, plans to do us good...it is because He desires intimacy with His children and not just provide them with answers to those things they really need help with...who should I marry, should I move, where should I work, should I change jobs,,,He wants to give us those anwers but it is first about relationship with him,,,He desires this intimacy with us,,,that is why we as men and women desire because of God living in us,,,
He is the longings we have,,,when He formed man of the dust of the ground,,,He said behold it is very good,,,what a nasty enemy if he can he will judge or accuse because the differences are that the judgements of God are right on with our best interests at heart...an enemy that makes us see only what is bad gets more obvious everyday,,,that ye love one another,,, the key must be obedience to God. I TRUST YOU GOD...
He that cometh to God must believe that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him...did you hear me, a rewarder...I know that He is calling you to Him and start your adventure. Take your longings and turn the page about your life.
