**Choose the Son**

------------------------------------------------------------

A rich man's beloved wife died in childbirth and he never remarried. When his son grew older, they traveled the world buying expensive art pieces like Monet and Rembrandt. Later the son went off to fight in the war.

One day the father got a letter saying his son was killed in battle while saving a fellow soildier. Weeks later there was a knock at the rich man's door. He opened it and it was the soilder that his son had saved. The soildier had painted a not-so-good portrait of the son and he gave it to the father to show his gratitude for his son saving his life.

Years later the rich man died and many art critics were gathered at the auction to buy his expensive art collection. The first art piece up for auction was the not-so-good portrait of the rich man's son. The art critics complained loudly about the painting being first and they wanted to see the expensive Monets and Rembrandts. The auctioneer said that the rich man had ordered that his son painting be sold first.

The art critics didn't want to bid on the poorly painted portrait of the son so the rich man's gardener raised his hand. The gardener stated that he had liked the rich man and his son. He offered $100.00 for the portrait of the rich man's son. The auctioneer said "sold for $100.00" and then that the auction was over.

The art critics shouted loudly about where were the expensive art pieces that they had come to buy. The autcioneer said the rich man had said that whoever took his son's portrait got it all!

So likewise, when we take Jesus, God's son, WE GET IT ALL !!

Amen

Thank you for that story. I heard it once in a sermon, it really touched my life. It is is sad that the connoisseurs did not pick the Son.
