What is the difference in appearance between Christian woman wearing tight clothes and fetish striptease dancer?

If women wearing tight jeans and other tight clothes would not tempt men to lust after them, then fetish style in sex industry would not exist. Question : What is the difference in appearance between Christian woman wearing tight clothes and fetish striptease dancer ?

IMODEST WOMEN WEARING MODERN CLOTHING STYLE, you probably think that this is not a big deal, but on the day of judgement you're going to have to answer for putting a stumling block for Jesus' little ones. Some men are strong, some weak. But if you would dress modesly you would not PROVOKE weak brother to stumble and commit adultery in his heart with you.

Imagine that someone tries to get rid of addction to pornography and comes to Church to pray about it and sees no difference in

apperance of Christian women than he saw when he wached wicked movies! You make Christianity look like a joke ! REPENT TILL IT'S NOT TO LATE .

If I was a wicked painter who likes to paint naked women, I would not need you to take your clothes out because I can see your body shapes clearly with the modern clothes you wear. I would just need to pick up the colour for a skin tone. You're almost the same as naked.

Fascinating topic...

Perhaps, before we condemn the state of someone's heart based on their outward appearance, we need to examine ourselves as to why we're so focused on their bodies and not on their hearts.

Where, exactly is this dress code found in God's scripture? When someone walks into our church off the street do we greet them at the door with a measuring tape...sorry, your dress is one inch too short, you don't live up to our standards? Sorry, that material clings just a little too much to your body...come back next week when you can get it right? Or, are we to take them to one side and lovingly lecture them that God doesn't quite find them appropriate? What does it say about the state of our hearts that we are so focused on flesh?

The standards are for Christians, not for the world. If a person that claimed to be a converted christian man came into church wearing...uh...whatever a woman would find sexually alluring(went with a man this time, women seem to get attacked a lot on these kind of topics...but I don't know what "sexy men" wear!:goofball:)...what would you think about how "christian" they were? Modesty is a christian principle. If you're not modest, then it would be hard to tell if you're really a christian yet. But if it's someone from the "outside" that wanders in, we shouldn't judge them....even if they're half naked. We're supposed to show them a better way, and how do we do that if we're chasing them out with pitchforks? Our job is to hold the church to the standard of Christ, not to judge what the world is doing. That is God's job.

Really? Are you saying we are to judge whether someone is a Christ follower by their outward appearance? Why am I even worried about how much of a "Christian" someone else is? And, even if I don't think someone is a Christian, what can I do about it? Is that my job or the job of the Holy Spirit? We can't even make right judgments about the hearts of people we ARE in relationship with...don't even mention those we don't know from Adam's house cat.

What if a muscular, "good-looking" guest speaker comes to church with jeans that fit "just right" and a shirt that is open at the neck showing a little chest hair? What if he gives one of the most anointed messages ever spoken in that fellowship...are we to make judgments about him based on the fact he even wore jeans or are we to open our hearts to the message?

Does the Church have a dress code? If so, then tell me what "the standards" are. Is dress length to the knee, just below the knee, one inch above the knee? How low cut should a v-neck be? Are you allowed to show your shoulders or not? Should women with long hair put their hair up because some men are really attracted to long hair. Are there certain hair styles that are allowed or should we all wear stocking caps? Are some fabrics permissible and others not? Some colors and patterns that we are allowed and others not? Some people are really drawn to eyes...should we all wear sunglasses? Is this what our church clothes closets are for?

What about a newly converted single mom that is struggling to put clothes on her and the kid's backs...do we really want her to agonize over which outfit she has in her closet that is most "appropriate" for her to wear for Christian fellowship. If we find it too revealing what do we say? I'm sorry, but there are some Christian men here that are still in bondage to their sin and haven't learned to hold every thought captive...their walk with the Lord is just a little bit more important than yours? Doesn't the fact that we are so focused on the flesh say where our minds are?

Are we more concerned with the appearance of Christianity or the heart of Christianity? Changing clothes does not change the heart. Our condemnations and judgments don't change a person one iota...let the Holy Spirit do His work. Don't worry about what people are wearing...just love them in Christ...we don't need to burden each other but help each other grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Romans 8

1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

Uh oh. Rawr!:goofball: Modesty is the christian dress code. Use your own conscience. If a "christian" is being overtly immodest, is that a good thing? Or should it be something we try to get rid of in our lives? Are we free? So can we all dress like male/female strippers? No? I think we draw the line with modesty/humility/temperance. Of course we should have "mercy" on newly developing Christians...but I think we should draw the line and bring it to their attention if they don't see that they need to change, and if they refuse to change when confronted with the issue, then it becomes a heart problem. The same goes for any sin. I guess I'm assuming immodesty is a sin though...don't know if you agree with that or not.

1 Cor. 5:11 But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.

12What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13God will judge those outside. Expel the wicked man from among you.

The clothes we wear can be very revealing about the kind of heart we have. If you're trying very hard to be pretty/handsome, then you have a pride problem. Pride and vanity are not good. Beauty is fleeting, all is vanity and grasping for the wind. Why care about it unless you are proud of yourself or unless you want to show off/build yourself up?

The topic is more about TIGHT CLOTHING. Let me ask you a question: Do you think that the sexual beauty of a woman is given by God so that every man could see ? Or just for her husband? Tight jeans and other tight clothes exposes women's breast shape, bikini zone, legs and the very sexy look from back. Do you think God is pleased with that ?

Should sexual beauty be private between married couple or open to everyone? How do you think?

So am I understanding correctly that if clothing shows a person has curves... Then that's bad? If that's so I'm going to have to wear a refrigerator box for the rest of my life.

Another thing that kills me about this sort of topic is the ones who complain that women dress too attractively are the same ones who complain when they dress frumpy. Either we wear clothes that fit us properly (or in my cases as properly as possible) or we all wear clothing 2-4 sizes too big to "hide" ourselves.... I won't mention the other possibility for "perfect" modesty

oh dear... now I must ask forgiveness...

No it doesnt "Kill" me... however, I do find it a bit of a double standard.

I do want to make a clarification however, I do not agree with the wearing of clothes that are two sizes too small...

however, I do not see anything wrong in wearing a tailored suit to make yourself look professional (and yes... being tailored (even if it's not tailored) with my bodyshape you WILL see curves).

I don't see any problem with looking good, but there's a line that gets crossed. There's a big difference between looking good and trying to bring a lot of attention to yourself/parts of your body for no good reason except showing off.
