Posted : 13 Jul, 2010 04:38 PM hi this is kinda along the topic of the bikini post but i didn't want to just reply to that one... the last couple times i've gone swimming with a lady friend of mine we have decided to go bare. There were no sexual feelings and it was nice to just be free... we even swam up on a couple that was doing the same thing and had a nice hello and carried on swimming. There was no tention or arousal so my question to all of you is should we stay clothed and modest or should we just be free the way God created us in the first place? Post Reply

Posted : 21 Sep, 2010 10:14 PM I see your point that God created us that way in the first place, but "in the first place" is the operative word...what we did after ruined things that's why we had to hide (Gen 3:10) so God in his mercy hooked us up with our first clothes (Gen 3:21). And we know that our flesh is weak so we need not put ourselves in compromising situations even though nothing bad happens instead we need to "watch and pray". And 1Cor 10:3 says that no temptation has seized you except that which is common to man so according to what I know man is visually stimulated you may not realize it at first but then after the fact.... And I don't really buy your argument for the bikini (no offence intended) but our human nature wants more, yes you see everything now you will wonder about other things...other senses.... So instead of thinking of this I finish with Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable�if anything is excellent or praiseworthy�think about such things and I know you could translate them into the architecture of the human form but I think he means in the word of God Take care and remain strong:dancingp::dancingp: Post Reply

You shoud be saving yourself for marriage, that includes yourself visually. Can you picture Jesus Christ doing that, He who died upon a cross, beaten with the whip, spat upon, to save people from their sin, and to treat your body so casually. No. It is not pure, what would somebody think walking by? Flee from the appearance of all evil. Save your self totally for your spouse after you are married. Would you still do it with another person after you are married to somebody else? I don't think so...you would be ashamed. It is the same difference. Post Reply

They only covered themself's after their sin against God. Our Father in Heaven always wants us to be respectable, in all areas of our lives, at all times. Post Reply

Posted : 17 Aug, 2012 10:25 AM Yes they were naked and didn't know it until they fell from God's grace and drug the rest of us in with them. However, what people tend to forget is that GOD HIMSELF MADE THEIR CLOTHES FOR THEM TO COVER UP with...so don't you all think that is a BIG statement within itself....no I don't think He means for us to share nudity with the whole world....I know I don't and would never consider it even. Women who expose too much of their bodies know EXACTLY what they are doing.....let's face it.....they are trying to entice men to sin by lusting after them....and don't tell me that a 'straight' guy wouldn't not only look but also lust....only gay men can do that. I personally wouldn't want a man that was not a man - God did make Adam and Eve...not Adam and Steve and in order to propagate the planet...it still takes a man AND a woman to do this....so it is within God's natural order of things. As for me, I will only dress for the man I love, not for anyone else and if a man does not appreciate a woman who will not...bare all to the world....then he is not the right kind of man for any Christian woman to be around...I know I wouldn't want to be around them and make it a point not to 'hang out' even.... satelitejoan Post Reply

Posted : 17 Aug, 2012 10:33 AM If Christ had gone along with the 'world' on things....the world would never have crucified Him....they would have embraced Him...Christ was not concerned about what they thought about Him...He knew He was the Son of God and that His Father had sent Him to take the place of people's sin on the cross and then to be buried and then rise again on the third day...People have always wanted to find 'a way around' having to believe in what Christ did on the cross for them....it is soooo much easier to be lax and sin than it is to live a Christian life....a person cannot do this IF they are not a true born-again believer in the first place--I think people like this just want enough 'religion' to have one foot in (just in case) so they adopted a little of every belief you can find (including Islam)--just in case the other fellow might be right...I call this 'WISHY-WASHY and this type of person can't be trusted to be RIGHT in ANY of his ways....the Bible tells us this also....and unstable man is unstable in all his ways....no wonder there are so few REAL men left out there....only God can change the heart...I can't change you and you will never change me...so that is that!!!!
