Imagine that someone tries to get rid of addction to pornography and comes to Church to pray about it and sees no difference in apperance of Christian women than he saw when he wached wicked movies! You make Christianity look like a joke ! REPENT TILL IT'S NOT TO LATE . If I was a wicked painter who likes to paint naked women, I would not need you to take your clothes out because I can see your body shapes clearly with the modern clothes you wear. But, after consulting some other guys, I came to realize that there REALLY are gals who come to church dressed in tight latex pants or some Daisy Dukes. I've never seen anything like that in the churches around the place I live lol. Nevertheless I feel sorry for these girls and for you guys. So yes, Youngster, this would not be a right apparel. I agree. Neither are deep cleavages, super mini skirts and stuff jewellery making a woman look like a christmas tree. But mandatory long loose dresses, long sleeves and bonnets? well this would a bit over the top, at least in our Western culture. Post Reply

If we're wearing clothes or doing things to show off/exhibit/seduce with our physical features(i.e. like what most guys/girls would wear to a "club"), or to artificially make us feel better about ourselves...then I think we need to think about why we're doing it. Our clothes and our face don't make us a better person. If you can find a reason besides insecurity/vanity to do/wear something then I think it's fine. And if the girls have to be uber-modest, then the guys do too! No more short sleeve shirts that show off your muscles!:rolleyes: Anyway, I think they're right. Some guys will lust after someone even if they're wearing a burka, so I don't think we should worry TOO much about other people**, we need to worry more about our heart/motivations. Are we cultivating/clinging to pride, or striving for a humble/self-sacrificing attitude? :peace::peace: **(Maybe a little though, it does help. Some of of the stuff people wear now is a little distracting. When you're wearing clothes that scream, "LOOK AT ME!!", it's kind of selfish/hypocritical to ask people to try not to look) Post Reply

Women should address young ladies on how to dress.Young men have no bussiness discussing nudity on this issue.that also means making personel comments about painting women and girllee dancers. those kind of issues should be discussed with a little less color. that is why Paul said what he did. men who talk about such things I have known. when talking this way to young ladies who are not saved they think you are a sicko and reject the message. I refuse to discuss detailed relations with women because it is inapporite. We are to let the women of God address it.Are job is to bring the gospel of jesus first. As a man I will not talk about a young ladies dress habits to her.It is the job of the women in the church to do that. Youngster you need to trust God will address that issue. As a man I can not talk to a young lady about certain issues. What am I saying here??????? As a older man I have known men abuse young girls in church leadership. How they dressed meant nothing. So, I being a witness can not address women as you did. I have to keep my self far from every being even seen as questionable.I am doing what Paul wrote here.Women council women, men council men. Things happened to a friends family.I have also seensome christian men just tear into women about isues about sex. They said things that would make the unsaved girls blush. None of us have been raised in the same families and so there are major differences... especially within different countries and cultures!! When I moved to Russia, I was shocked at the women and at the men! BUT it was acceptable Christian culture here! Most of it probably would not be in my home church in Canada. I still struggle with it at times but God has also taught me from it and I am also able to teach others... So, before we judge or assume something let us try to look at a bigger picture. Post Reply
