View Profile History	Submission Posted : 1 Nov, 2020 05:34 PM Thank you, Moonlight. I appreciate your answer. I agree that that surrendering one self to the control of another is not godly. The Bible says that we are supposed to have self-control. How can we have self-control if we allow someone else to control us? I don't agree, however, that that is what submission is. I believe that submission is thinking of others before yourself. Like when Jesus was arrested. He could have chosen to not be, like the other time that the crowd tried to grab so that they could stone him to death. But, he didn't. He chose to submit. The fact that he submitted, doesn't mean that he wasn't in control, though. He absolutely was. Post Reply

Are you asking about a specific extra-biblical scenario in which a form of submission takes place or are you asking about a particular biblical application of submission ? One example of submission—a prisoner submits to a prison guard by following an order to return to his prison cell. Another example of submission—the church is to submit to Christ. As for the question posed in your thread, I’m not sure if you’re asking for a range of applications or for a specific one Post Reply

Submitting to Him being the One who brings you salvation instead of trying to get it yourself. Submitting to serve Him because why wouldn't you want to do so when He gave His life to save you?
