In these Last Days too many churches and their pastors and priests are thinking that Jesus permits divorce and remarriage as a norm in all so-called Christianity. They as other so-called Christians who normalize and purify any sins , believe that they will go to Heaven , when they die, because god of this age with a small g tells them that death of Christ on the cross is a license to sin. But what did Jesus Christ tells regarding divorce and remarriage and what consequences come to lukewarm Christians, when they die as remarried divorcees. Many users will hate me for my pastoral truth. Truly, not my truth, but God's Living Truth that is jn His True KJV Bible. Not in those fake demonic bibles like NIV.
Jesus strictly tells in Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16;18 that divorce and remarriage on all grounds of divorce is adultery. All adulterers, no matter they might believe in Christ as God, but live in sin no matter how good and peaceful it is, will go to the place called Hell. Hebrews 13:4. Matthew 7:16-21. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. James 4:1-10. And don't be deceived by most lying pastors who think Matthew 19:9 and other Matthew verses are ok for divorce and remarriage. This Gospel is dedicated to Jewish believers in Jesus. Customs of the Jews, before the marriage oath, the espousal period, engagement. The right to pun awat a fiancee if she or he caught in fornication, before marriage oath. Word fornication is applied for people who are never wed. For wed couples who cheat is applied term adultery. Look at espousal example of Mary and Joseph of Jesus in all Matthew chapter 2. Also, the great preacher John The Baptist had the duty from God to warn King Herod who took Herodias, king's alive brother Phillip's wife. Herodias divorced Phillip and married his brother King Herod. John duty was to warn the king that king's soul was in trouble for Hell. For this kindness John was beheaded.
Sadly, 99% of so-called Christians who live in adultery and other sins end up in place called Hell. Proverbs 14:12. Jesus demands true repentance, is to end up adulterous remarriages in all must expenses, if it is needed like alimony, etc. The more you sin and more you pay. And then as Jesus to forgive. God demands us to keep His Commandants and stay holy. Perseverance of the saints.
Isaiah 30:9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord:
10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
2 Chronicles 36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
Proverbs 29:1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
Psalm 58:Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
Proverbs 25:12 As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.
Everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery” (v. 32). - Matthew 5:32
The mistake, many Christians make when quoting a portion of scripture, usually involves overlooking the immediate context surrounding the portion of scripture quoted.
Another glaring mistake, Christians make when quoting a verse, involves missing the wider systematic approach that investigates the Bible’s comprehensive treatment of that verse or a specific matter touched on in that verse, ie in this case, divorce and remarriage.
For example, some passages of scripture were intended to address a specific question or a specific point at hand but not to offer an encyclopedic treatment, right then and there. That’s why we have systematic theology which seeks to harmonize the whole of scripture truth.
Here’s a note from Ligonier, quote: “Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, tells us that God wants not only right actions, but also a pure heart (Matt. 5:8). Refraining from murder and adultery does not exhaust those particular commandments; Exodus 20:13–14 also forbids lust and unjust anger (Matt. 5:21–30). This is in line with the Old Testament, which says the Law must be followed in heart and in deed (Deut. 6:6; Ps. 37:31).
Jesus’ corrections of the Pharisaic traditions are not an exposition of the Law that covers every single possible situation. For example, Christ says “everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment” (Matt. 5:22), but He does not mean that anger is always evil, as He Himself will get angry (21:12–13) without sinning (1 Peter 2:22). Ungodly anger is what the injunction against murder forbids. We can (rarely) be righteously angry and yet not sin (Eph. 4:26).
This point helps us understand today’s passage. Jesus does not give every possible ground for divorce when He allows it for “sexual immorality” (Matt. 5:31–32); desertion by an unbelieving spouse also makes divorce permissible (1 Cor. 7:12–16). Moreover, the Greek word for “sexual immorality” in today’s passage (porneia) covers all types of sexual misconduct, implying that some sexual sins besides extramarital affairs can be legitimate grounds for divorce. Yet Jesus is not allowing divorce for any instance of lust or sexual indiscretion. Otherwise, every lewd thought is just cause for divorce. Since no sinner has been fully pure in this area, every marriage would then be dissolvable, which clearly violates our Lord’s high view of holy matrimony ( Matt. 19:1–12).” end quote
Because this is not True Christian place, but lukewarm Christian cult. True Christian places reject remarried divorcees, fornicators, sodomites, and all sinners who are proud in their unrepentant sins.
