In Christianity and on Christian sites, I think THE BIBLE should have THE LAST WORD. "What is written?" "It is written...." "It is also written...." "Do not go beyond what is written." "What do the scriptures say?" There are various movements with various opinions This is an open forum. It is also a Christian site. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Such is now popularly translated, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." More we are dulling another here. There is one offense and another. There is mud-slinging and insults. I'm willing for a truce and I am willing to limit some responses to scripture. But confrontation produces confrontation and the assaults are never ending. I have left the site a number of times because the mud-slinging here. Forums are ruined with insults and go off topic. You won't find that ending. I tend to agree with nomoreusernamesleft on his response to one. Maybe I should fast and pray. But I don't think there'll be any change. Someone is intent on a position. Some just ruin it for others. Some like to make others miserable. Scripture gets discarded. Great if the Bible were not discarded. For us, the Bible should be the last word. God is the Alpha and the Omega. God is the beginning and the end. God is the first and the last. When all is said and done, in the end, God has THE LAST WORD. Yep! Many here may have mental illness. One form of mental illness or another. How many people have their act together that are on this site? I think wise people don't get on here. This is a place for flawed people to meet flawed people. Samson called his wife a "heifer". Jesus called Herod a "Fox" and told others what to tell that fox. Jesus called the Pharisees "a brood of vippers" and "white-washed walls". Paul called the Judaizers "Mutilators of the flesh". Paul also called the Cretans "liars, brutes and lazy gluttons". Nathanuel asked, "Can any good come out of Nazareth?" Excellent subject, ML! You certainly contribute to this subject. Jesus said of his disciples, "Are you so dull? He turned to Peter and rebuked Satan. Wow! That's a powerful subject. Has Jesus likewise spoken to you? You must be spirit led with that subject. The names we have for each other. But right now, I'll call you "daughter" and I'll call you "sister" and I'll reserve some other names that a few of us have come up for you. Yet there are some other Bible names that do apply for you, but why speak the obvious. Israel was called "stiff-necked" That surely applied to Israel. "Hardened" is a frequent one. Yep! There is no end to name calling. An excellent subject! Thanks, Moonlight, for such a great subject! I hope THE LORD will give you victory over your tongue. You are pretty venomous! You spew much poison with those fingers of yours in what you type on here. Nonetheless, sister, you are our sister in creation, and I hope our sister in the hope we share in Christ, though I sometimes wonder about that with the things you type here. Stab! Stab!
