Don't stop praying

Today a man in our church shared about his mother. He has been a Christian for 40 or so years, and has prayed for his parents all that time. He was able to lead his father to the Lord about 6 months before his Dad died. His mother is 98 and had not accepted Jesus as her Savior.

She had been to churches during her life. She knew the Gospel message. He prayed for her, invited her to church, talked to her about his faith.

One day she said yes, she would like to go to church. A couple of months later she remarked how she noticed the feeling of love and peace at our church that she liked - and hadn't felt before. Then one week --- as they were driving home --- she said she wanted to go back for prayer. He turned the car around and there was one person on our prayer ministry left up front.

His mom was prayed for over her body, and then was asked if she wanted to give her heart to God. And just like that -- all those prayers were answered. That 98 year old lady gave her heart to God. When that was shared in church today she raised up her arms, slowly and with feebleness, but triumphantly over her head.

Praise God Almighty. Don't stop praying. God hears. God knows. God works.
