I feel that no Christian man should treat any woman badly...BUT to me it doesn't mean they are not a Christian...I'm not making any excuses...We all fall short of the Glory of God...We have to stay in the word and prayer...I feel that it's the other way around too...No Christian woman should treat any man badly...
What is sin? It is missing the mark or goal. We understand the mark or goal as the fulfillment of the will of God. Out side of the will of God, and the perfect law of liberty, is sin. While, it's true, Christians aren't perfect. We still commit sins. But we don't live in sin. In other words, we won't have a sinful lifestyle. If a man continual mistreats a woman, that is a sinful lifestyle, because that man is walking in the Spirit, but after the flesh. He is not a Christian.
The Bible teches Christian men to love their wives as Christ love the church. (Ephesians 5:25)
Any man that does not treat a potential mate as Christ would is not a Christian.
mine here
i agree that the bible does teach us that a man is to love his wife as CHRIST loves the church.. id also say that the bible teaches us many things to do and many things also not to do.. do we always get it right all the times? no we dont.. theres not a christian man or woman alive that gets it right all the times.. so with that said i could of went along with that you said maybe theyre not christians.. as that is a possibility.. maybe.. but when you say is not a christian with finality.. thats a judgement im affraid you cant possibly make. you could go so far as to say they prolly aint a christian..or they dont appear to be a christian, but the only ones that truely knows is GOD, JESUS, the HOLY SPIRIT and the one who youre speaking of.
cause if i use your logic that any man who doesnt treat his potential mate as CHRIST would is not a christian.. theyred be an awful lot of non christians around. hehe ya see there aint a woman in her right mind that would ever leave a man that loves her as CHRIST loves the church.. but lots and lots and lots of women walk away from good christian menfolks all the time , but wait a minute she walked away so they cant be a christian . cause she wouldnt of walked away if theyd of loved her as CHRIST loved the church right?
you are right though that a christian man should treat his wife or his potential mate as CHRIST loves the church. just a lil summin to remember. not everyone is at the same place in their walks.. still christians mind you.. and you are also right. some are imposters. the good LORD knows the difference..
I am not talking about "not getting it right all the time". True, none of us get it right all the time. We are sinners, as we struggle against the flesh.
I am talking about the blatant disregard of God's Word, and living a sinful lifestyle. That's a big difference then just messing up once in a while.
There is something wrong when a woman dreads when her husband comes home. 'Cause, when he does, he finds something to complain about, and give her beating. Or, maybe it's not physical violence. It might just be emotional abuse, calling his 90 pound wife a fat pig.
This type of thing happens everyday in this country. A man who consistantly does those things cannont be a Christian. The problem we have in this country is we have watered down what a Christian is. There is proper behavior for a Christian. Those who constanly violates that behavior, the behavior of love, they cannont be a Christian.
But, the Bible tells us about sin, and the end of those who practice sin. That is not to say anyone of us are in the place of God, and knows the end of each individual. But, as Christians it is our duty to serve God, and as He is not willing that any should perish, but have everlasting life, it is our duty, in serving Him, to tell people about sin, and the innevitable outcome of people with a sinful life style. Not to judge them, nor condemn them, but to convince them to repent and turn to God, and inherit eternal life.

Jesus became the sacrificial lamb because the old mosaic law requiring the blood of bullocks could not get the job done. Jesus ushered in something so powerful many still struggle today to wrap their minds (and hearts) around it: Grace. We do not use grace as a cloak for sin and are held accountable for that which we know to do but fail to...Oh wretched man that I am WHO shall deliver me from the body of THIS death? Rhetorical. Duty to serve God suggests obligatory labor/work. Most who have experienced grace (Gods unmerited/undeserved favor) would put it this way: It is not I but Christ that liveth in me the HOPE of Glory...Just to human, to frail, to like my fellow man...but we see JESUS who was made a little lower than the angels...What I'm saying here is that Linnie has hit the nail on the head with a BIG hammer in my humble opinion. When "christians" make statements like "Not to judge them, nor condemn them, but to convince them to repent and turn to God, and inherit eternal life." I see in them what I see in myself: God at work...teaching us what is not written in the KJV but can only be taught by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit for each individual - our Comforter has come and HE will lead each of in the paths of righteousness for HIS namesake-for that is what the Spirit was sent to do: Lead us and guides us unto all truths. Sin means to miss the mark - target practice. Interesting to not that the Bible does not say "mock" the perfect man as many misquote but rather "mark" the perfect man.
I also believe personally when people make comments like, "I'm not judging" etc...yeah, they really are, they just want/need to add something they feel will be more palatable in interpreting the Word.
Bottom line and my point: I agree with Linnie, whom I admire and respect that many will look around heaven and be surprised at who made it, at me too!lol But I thank God for Jesus for I know that I have an advocate with the Father even as does the most "not judging person" one might pick...like oh say...Charles Manson, Hitler, President Bush, President Obama, me...you? Jesus came not into the world to condemn the world but that the world thru HIM might be saved...Jesus came to save the lost.
Peace be unto you family and lets continue to walk in grace on this day...one writer said: My foot had well nigh slipped unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord"...another place put it this way: many times this day I could have been justly consumed in thy wrath, but your mercy endureth forever...Selah
