So after now receiving a few messages in my inbox from other members, I need to ask the community one simple question. Is it too much to ask for people to make an effort in proof reading their messages and using/applying basic grammar rules? I'm full aware that not everybody here is a native speaker of English, neither am I, but I always think that especially when it comes to online dating your profile, posts in the forum or private messages are the first impression you give the person you are potentially interested in. View Profile History	Just my honest opinion on something that bothers me here a lot Posted : 25 Feb, 2017 10:19 AM Our generally high standard of education makes one thing easy to forget... people in general have ALWAYS stunk at writing haha Also English is a terribly illogical language a lot of the time because of it's history of bastardization... people with more logical languages as mother tongues tend to become confused by it half the time. But then again there are those that are just don't care or are not literate enough to not make all those mistakes that bother you... rejoice woman it helps show the people you personally might or might not want to avoid anyway. It bothers me equally when I see that. I wish there was a city ordinance to punish this style. It's a careless style. It openly says, "I don't care about my life. I don't care about your life. I don't care about this planet. I don't care about anything at all. I don't respect anybody or anything." The same is true about people who write with terribly bad grammar/spelling. That writing style says, "I don't care about you. I don't care about myself. And I don't care whether you like me or hate me." And they are just looking for someone who shares this careless attitude. View Profile History	Just my honest opinion on something that bothers me here a lot Posted : 14 Apr, 2017 02:36 AM Hi, I personally think, this should not be the only basis if and so you are only trying to assess the other person and you have mutual interest to talk about because if you will just argue it is better to just be friends, nothing more than that. It never bothers me, in my view in any way but of course anyone would prefer someone who can speak well the English language and the Bible grammar or this can be a barrier. But would still depend who will make your heart happy I believe there will be someone out there I can always say "amen" with. Post Reply
