Be Careful: CDFF Will NOT Deal with Scammers
Posted : 14 Apr, 2015 10:44 PM

I have brought two scammers (and most likely, literal psychopaths) to the attention of CDFF repeatedly in the past week, but my concerns have been ignored. Sadly, we can not count on CDFF to protect its members from people with evil motives. I'm not sure who runs this site, but clearly they are unresponsive. Be very careful - do not give out your phone number or email address until you know someone very well. If someone is impatient for your number or email address, walk away!

So, CDFF admin, are you listening? Do you know what I hear from at least 90% of the women who I've talked to from this site? They tell me that they are leaving CDFF because scammers run loose on your site. It seems you are more interested in bombarding us with ads for paid sites than in protecting the members who are on yours.

Here's your chance to respond to those who say your site is nothing but a big scam. What are you going to do to address this? Why do you ignore us when we report scammers?

We're waiting to hear from you, if you're even paying attention...

I, too, have experienced the same non-responsiveness from the Admin on this site. Many known scammers, whom I personally have repeatedly reported, remain active on CDFF. It was not always this way. For me, it has gotten to the point that I am even suspicious of men who turn out to be real Christians. Sad but true. Time is running out for CDFF to correct this before the site gets renamed SFFA (Scammers Free For All).

Sometimes it sure does feel like we have been abandoned but then again the scammers are caught almost weekly in my case and banned. Of course I would suppose that this is a problem on a free site.

Im not sure what anyone expects for free! It takes money to rewrite programs to keep them at bay in smaller numbers and to put in place security systems that keep the multitudes out. I dont know Im just thinking outloud! ha!

I feel your frustration. Come to the bible discussion board and you will see far worse than scammers. you will see how satan has inserted tares to pervert the word of God to lead the babies and lost astray. That is what really gets me!! Hey,come up to Prescott and we can go out and spread the gospel!! Im real:excited:

Gods grace abides....

You're right, the site is free for us, but they make money on ads and referrals. At the end of the day, one can only conclude that this is a profit-making machine with a Christian label because the scammers and pornographic ads, which I've also reported, continue.

Your reply speaks volumns.

FYI...

I have mozilla firefox with all kinds of addons. I do not see any of the ads you speak of. You should try it ; it alieviates lots of problems across the web.

Thanks for the tip.

The ads I'm talking about are Google adsense ads, and since this is a dating site, they generate ads they think we're interested in. The ads are for other dating sites (makes sense) only the ads are from adult dating sites - as in porn, or extremely close to it. I explained this in detail to CDFF because I don't think pornographic dating sites should be shoved down our throats on a Christian dating site, but they replied that they have "no control" over what ads are displayed. Well, actually, they do. They could use another ad company display ads, but they choose not to.

I also want to be clear that I do appreciate CDFF, but I also care about members here having to deal with scammers and potential psychopaths, not to mention very questionable advertising practices.

So while I do appreciate CDFF, I believe it could be more responsive to its members, which would make this site safer and more family-friendly. I hope they will make the decision to improve these areas, because if things continue to go unchecked, people will continue to leave.

True, they're a problem everywhere, but some sites are better than others at quickly responding to members' reporting.

I got same experience here. I sent a scammer report few days ago but that guy keeps sending me messages but not banned by the site. Then I sent the report again today few hours and awaiting the site's response.

Hey idylaiwy,

You can go into your Account Settings and put that person on your "Blocked" list.
