Ever see the old cary Grant movie of Male Order Bride? He is a frenchman who marries his nemesis and finds love and they both are military so the only way he can come to the USA is if he uses the form for WARBRIDEs and he is a man. Poor guy! Funny movie though and sweet. Shows how crazy red tape is. Seriously though, I have noticed the majority of men who write to me want me to make a home for them, and here I am praying to find a man to be dad to my kids and husband to me. I kind of am looking for someone who has it together and just isn't looking to have me find a place for him. Is there anyone out there who is missing a family and looking for one? Seems like just guys like in England looking for wealthy women to take care of them, and I really am tired of that. My last marriage was a man like that and I need a real man. I do have property in my family, but a man should love me and my kids and be kind to us too. I have lost too much trying to make the perfect home for Mr. Right. The huricane smashed my home so I am ready to move on and maybe just back to Texas where we have property. Lots of guys want me to support them, but I was looking for a man to love and help me with my kids too. I never had that and it is lonely.

I am writing back to this to as I thought about it, I am glad for any rich widows out there. i was widowed, but sure am not rich, only In Christ. Times have not changed for I read iN England a man would look out for a good wealthy female even if she was homely looking as long as she had money and land. I am very glad for my friends and some I have made on here. I am working on the money and the land, but after I have gotten all of that, who needs a man?

Thats the culture in England and much of western Europe. Between 1870 and 1940, alot of wealthy American girls married English "nobles". Alot of the women were specifically looked for "titled" men. They had the money, then men had the titles. Even John F. Kennedy's sister did that. She is buried in England.

Yes, I know. I love reading Signet Regency Romances about that period in history. just is frustrating trying to find someone who wants me for me.

Im not into romance book, but I am a big history buff. Especially, crazy laws. Got into it once I learned there was a town in Tennessee that actually had a law on the books that said that you had to hitch any carriage to a hitching post. Even if your carriage was a car.
