they start out as very nice person but then come up with a story how their dad was super rich and left them a fortune and billions and now they had to move to nigeria to make a deal or similar. then they of course ask for help and what to scamm you out of money. i also heard very witty stories about being soldiers in afghanistan and to leave and be with you they need your financial support and so on. they ruin the whole internet dating thing for me, so many scammers write me, im not going to send them money and when i hear that story which i heard already thousand times i stop writing them, but it is not distinguishable for me who is a scammer and who is not on first sight and i waste my time and energy also i write them private things about myself and open my soul and heart to them to show them more of myself and then they turn out to be scammers and misused my trust. im really sad and it ruins internet dating for me.

Sorry Soul

I know exactly how you feel coz i have been there too.

It hurts and ruins what you thought when joining these sites.

I interacted with a guy on another site for six months and i thought i knew him very well coz we would chat and talk on phone.I really trusted the guy so even when he said that he was sending some gifts to me,i accepted. He confirmed the day he sent even sent the documents that he used, then after about four days the company he claimed to have used called me saying that i had to pay some charges. And i thought it was ok,and i paid.He used to cal and tell me to inform him immediately i receive the goods.I came to realize later he was a scammer.I was really hurt,i couldn't believe anyone would do that.I was new in internet dating and i learnt the hard way.I thank God am through and no longer hurt, and very wise.

As you said one cannot know who is a scammer and who is not, so we just play along till you realize the person is not true. This ruins the good image of the good and true people here.

I wish you all the best brother as you continue searching.

Don't give up.

I have been contacted by so many scammers I find it hard to trust almost anyone. I have taken to checking out the pictures of the guys who contact me on Google image to see if there is another profile on the internet using the same picture. One of the pictures I searched this way was linked to about four different profiles all using different names and locations. I also found the true identity of the poor fellow who had his identity stolen and use to attempt to scam people out of their money or credit card information.

Be very careful and only be desperate for God, and His love.

Blessings

First of all to identify a scammer we must be aware of their way to act.

They normally don't write English or any other language correctly.

They start to send messages with some kind of joke and want to chat on Yahoo messenger instead having a start on the CDFF mail.

Also sometimes if You read their profile carefully You will read some words that doesn't fit to the subject.

May God bless us all giving us discernment and show us always the right way to go.

Be blessed You all,

Aylla

Let me tell you my ignorance when I started joining dating sites not to mention those, I was a victim FRAUD, at first i send money...because "He stole my heart, trust, and hope that someday I am going marry a man that I love most" to make the story short it was all a LIE. I was terrified and so much upset but I can't help myself just cry.

After a year of healing I come back, but I made a promise to myself that once foolishness is enough I will not allow them happen again. O'yes I've talking too many scammers already in different sites and here but if I heard unbelievable stories I stop talking to them.

The reason why am here and still here now, because I believe ONE DAY I will meet the man that is destined for me by the good Lord Jesus Christ. I believe If I am true person here with having a good intention, that is for sure I will find my match. In JESUS NAME, ALLELUIA, PRAISE GOD.

Thos is so sad that ppl are doing this kind of thing. As a Brazilian, I feel terribly ashamed of my people for being involved with that. Bit thank God, there are still some hope!

May God gives us discernment :)
