People are like diamonds, showing to others facets of their lives, of who they are and it hurts when someone seems so caring and then tries to put you in a box of what they want you to be or refuse to care. You can't please everybody at the expense of losing who you are. and it just isn't worth it. True llove and peace is in Jesus and if we seek Him first, he will guide the right people to us that will appreciate the special person that we are! You made a good assertion that we can not afford to please everybody and then lose ourselves. Again, if we look as Christians, the bible enjoined us to be at peace with all men as much as it lies in us. Actually quoted as saying in Rom 12:18, King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.) If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. If you decide on following the gospel. Then we are choicelessas our lives and wills are no more ours but God's and he directs them the way he wants...... Sometimes we may have to lose ourselves to gain ourselves. If we all just looked to Jesus in the comvictions we have then we would all be in agreement with oneanother. Those who spend to much time in the Old testiment end up thinking in the law to much and faith becomes skewed. I believe every new believer should only learn the life and mission of Jesus. The relationship of Jesus with us. Learn His teachings , actions, and attitudes. Not just the violent righteous ones like turning over the money tables or rebuking the teachers of His days. But Jesus who said your sins are forgiven you go in peace. Jesus who wept for His friend who died. Jesus who allowed Mary to sit at His feet and acess Him personally and specifically. Jesus who said to the woman at the well if you knew who you were speaking to you would have asked and I would have given you living water. Jesus who cared for and healed the blind and fed the hungry. Jesus who led His deciples with understanding. Jesus who gave the example of how to follow Gods will. Jesus who sat and ate with sinners. There would be less troubles.And if we saw people as He saw them and we were moved with compassion as He was . Maybe we wouldn't have such a selfish society:(He gave us His example to follow:) Post Reply
