Posted : 21 Aug, 2012 04:56 AM I hear many people saying that they fell in love at first sight,but i find this to be unrealistic,i believe one has to learn the other person.their ways.words.gestures and all that to know if its the person one has prayed for or not,i need to meet with the person to learn the person further,but there is no way someone would just look at me and tell me,*i have fallen in love with*just by seeing me for the first time.i would love to read about your views,what do you think? There is no such thing as "love at first sight". What is meant by the use of this masking terminology, or "euphemism", is "LUST AT FIRST SIGHT". It is sad that on this "Christian" dating site, that we see "believers" who do not comprehend the eternal wisdom of Abba YaHUaH (YHUH) and the Mashiach, Messiah for all New Testament believers. LOVE is not something we seek of another, it is a behavioral characteristic. In other words, we have the love [nature] of Abba, and Satan's Seed have his nature - hate. Believers LOVE, because we have the nature of Abba YaHUaH (YHUH) and the reprobates demonstrate their father's [Satan] nature. I will seek to put up a new post to reflect the wondrous knowledge of the Two Seeds and how we are to "know them by their fruit". So, yes, you are correct, there is not such thing as "love at first sight", but "lust at first sight". This is why we hear the masking terminology of "chemistry" being used so often. "Chemistry" is not mentioned anywhere in the scriptures, in either the Old or New Testament. Believers, when they meet each other, are capable of loving each other, and to the death - in obedience to the Father's will, but the seed of darkness needs to see if there is some physical traits which appeal to them. This is why Jesus [Yahusha] taught, "by the love you show one another the world will know that you are my disciples". Love is designed to be a characteristic of our spiritual nature, of those who are of Abba's Tree of Life. It is inconsistent with the scripture, for man to think that "one is going in search of love, to receive it; love is to be demonstrated, not sought. Again, this is why so many want to see someone's picture. They do not trust Abba blindly, as Abraham, because they do not believe that He is sovereign, and that He has foreordained their lives. They think that they are "gods" [knowing what is good and evil], and "want" a say as to whom is going to be in their lives and in their beds. The men of the flesh want to call lust "love", but their behavior in seeking to be influenced by other's physical characteristics, proves that they are operating not in faith, but in fear - fear that they will not be able to control their lives. This is why ALL demand a picture, before "deciding" if it is "God's will" for them to "want" someone in their life. Oh, I know. I have heard it all. These hypocrites [those not of Abba's Seed, but are of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil which pretending to be of "the sheep"], need to make their wills, and lusts, appear to be "the will of G-d", and so they will state something to the effect of, "but there has to be something that attracts".. Oh really?? That is called "LUST" people, not love. Love does not need to like what it sees, to love it, Jesus [Yahusha] proved that! I hear that this is common, even amongst non-Christians. Natrazim, I agree that lust is at times a first response to seeing a person. And that physical attraction in general isn't the same love of 1 Corinthians 13, or 1 John 3:16. I will not utterly confirm love at first sight, for the physicality it implies. But I will not so deny love at first sight, for the physicality is merely implied. tl;dr: sort of? Post Reply

Posted : 3 Sep, 2012 09:12 PM When I was homeschooling my daughter, we would read biographies of missionaries and there were stories of LOVE at first sight. Where they knew, that the Lord had laid it upon their heart or spoken a word to them that the other one was their mate. So yes love at first site does happen. Does it happen all the time I do not know. We shall see! Post Reply

I have never believed in it, and when I hear a guy trying to sell it to me, reg flags shoot up everywhere. People who believe this way probably couldn't put the fairy tales away after childhood(lol). You definately must get to know the person on a spiritual, deep level before the word love is ever uttered. I believe there is 'lust at first sight', and it can get people into trouble. Post Reply
