slj3_1 View Profile History	Banned from site Posted : 20 Jun, 2009 10:22 AM I changed my settings today, so I could get a message from Elsie E and just as soon as I did I got an email from some guy who almost insisted that I email him at his personal email address. I didn't answer right away ,but when I did I was going to give that polite we wouldn't make a good match thing. A message popped up that said he had been banned from the site! I admit I was a little leary anyway, because I had been reading the posts from Lynn and Ian. Thanks guys. Besides someone having MY email address, is there anything else they could do? I mean, I am so new at all this, would that be opening my computer or something? I had another email I never thought too much about,but he wanted me to email him also. I answered but told him I wanted to keep it at this site. Never heard another word. Again, I want to thank all who posted about scammers. Am I giving too much personal info? Now I'm really leary. People can do mean things like sign you up for websites that spam you. If you use your e-mail for anything personal related (work, banking, etc) then don't give it out. If you have social networking sites linked to it and don't want to be bothered then yeah definitely do not give it out. Post Reply
