1. "Everybody" here is an expert on dating (and still single).

2. Some men already have a wife, but still come to this site.

3. Or they have a gf or bf and they still visit this site. lol

4. The chat room says "Young Adults Live Chat" (18-29 years old), but it's "Christian" for 40-50 somethings to go in there.

5. Evil emoticons are allowed on a "Christian" site.

(please feel free to add more)

The media hasnt helped things, HJMP. If you have the time to watch tv, you will notice that in a large percentage of shows and commercials, the dads, grown men, are stupid. Studies have shown that constant repetition of a theme can actually "brainwash" people into thinking that that theme is true.

For a long time, women were shown as "objects", or flighty, or dimwitted, etc. For a long time, people actually believed this. The same thing with minorities in this country. Hispanics were shown as thieves, criminals. African Americans were shown as slow, gullible, lazy, criminals, etc. It took a long time to get rid of these stereotypes.

I could actually see it if someone was wanting to get "revenge" on white men, but it is all men who are shown to be stupid, cheaters, rapists, etc.

Even in news stories, men are not referred to as men. They are referred to as their profession...

"Three construction workers were killed when a crane collapsed..." "A police officer was killed in the line of duty"...

If women were the subject of the news report, it goes something like...

"Three women were killed when the car they were riding in was hit by a drunk driver" If it had been a female drunk driver they would have stated that fact.

Or they are referred to as "suspects", rapist, etc. Did you know that almost half of all sexual assault victims in the US are men? Its true, but that almost never gets reported.

And women wonder why men are looking elsewhere. The media has tainted American women into believing every negative thing reported about men, or turned men into stereotypes to be feared, distrusted, and scorned. The real problem is that some men are also falling for this and have given up on marriage altogether.

Well Apostelle......what you've just expressed is why I truly, truly thank God for Jesus!!!

The deliberate corrosion and corruption from man's fall of our society, has the enemy seemingly thinking he's won! He's successfully not only turned mans' heart from God, but he has us turning viciously upon one another!

Again here is where I have to repeat....thank God for Jesus and for His inevitable return:purpleangel:!! As believers, we have had to endure so much........even to such an extent that so many of us have bought into a lot of what you described in your last post! We now more than ever must stay vigilant on our journeys' of purpose in God, in this earth! Occupy until Christ returns......praying, warring, praising, worshipping......those are the tools God has given us to use to fight a good fight, being ultimately victories in Christ Jesus! Be blessed!

Addendum.

-- no matter how polished your profile is, you cannot upload or download love.

-- no matter how much you abhor a wink, you would appreciate it if it came from someone you like.

-- browsing through profiles is best when done while eating popcorn or ice cream.

@dkj - maybe we should shift to the healthier variety. People might correlate one's girth to the time one has been waiting. :)

I have learned more on the art of ranting. A lot of men and women seem to say too much in answering a simple Q, in the guise of "sharing and being honest".

TMI too soon is boring... and scary.
