Posted : 3 Jan, 2009 10:12 AM Hello everybody, I want to share brieflly an experience I had, and hope none of you go through what I did. I fell for one these Nigerian scams-romance style. I had met someone on another christian dating site, and everything seemed fine. she sent pictures and everything seemed good. She said she was living in Nigeria because her late husband was killed there in a car accident. She said she was a christian and attended a baptist church. I suspected something was up, but did not follow through. She said she was from Missouri originally. My desire to meet that special someone overtook the logic that was needed to see through this. Over a period of time I sent her some money to help her along, and it was her desire to come back to the United States. she played me for a fool over a period of a few months,then threw her "ace of spades" at me. She said she had an insurance policy she was going to cash in and had her "agent" send me several thousand dollars in moneygrams of which i was to deposit then send her through western union to come here. turns out the checks were all bogus, I checked some fraud sites, and eventually found her using somebody else's picture, which is what i learned they like to do, use somebody else's pictures to make you think they are your "dreamboat', when in reality they are nothing but low down scoundrels who prey on people. As it is, I have to pay the bank back several thousand dollars to the bank. Hard lesson learned- believe what the bible says- proverbs 3:5-6-"trust in the Lord with you heart, lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." obviously I did not. So please be careful in all these areas, and please pray for me. Post Reply

NOT ALL AFRICANS ARE SCAMERS MY GOSH. dont judge to quickly. pray about it, dont blame another race for your miscalculations. i'd never ask anyone for money ever. because i make my own, and my mom makes enough to send me to school. i'm not some charity case. They're just like Americans. Good or Bad. Nigeria has a particular problem because the government looks the other way,and it is rampant there; but I'm sure there are lots of good people there, also. It's too bad when other people get smeared by the actions of a few. That's just not right. Just the same, I'm not going to send any money to Nigeria or anywhere else unless it's through a reputable ministry to preach the Gospel and/or feed the hungry, or it's to a person that I know and trust personally. Posted : 30 Oct, 2009 07:22 AM sorry to hear that brother. i've meet many of them as i have several christian sites. i'm a wakeup to them although that sometimes is not enough. i actually pray about anyone i meet and my prayer goes like this. Lord show me the fruit of this person in jesus name. and the Lord always exposes there fruit to me everytime. marion. Post Reply

Posted : 17 Dec, 2009 10:17 PM dear panama, i am sorry that u had to meet? such bottom feeders. the scam artists always try.when any relationship starts coming down to the dollar factor , you know it's not legit.love does not truely cost.and the only thing needed to be given is from the heart, not the pocket book; when seeking a lifetime partner! may all be granted wisdom from god to see these theives easily!! or contact your local police!!:laugh: if they need money, tell them to sell their computer!!:laugh: , because you are be audited by the gov't.and need to pay back taxes. i had a guy in france try to con me on kijijii on selling an antique phone.i told his partner who wanted it shiped quick that the rcmp are waiting at the post office for him! funny:laugh: i never heard from him again!! good luck to all! antiqueknight:waving::prayingm: Post Reply

In my case, I was never ask of money but it looks like played on my feelings. He made me believed that He was sooooooooo taken away by my charm and couldn't resist it. He asked how he could prove it. I told him to come over my country and show him to me larger than life. He never showed up again. that after i beg him to spare me. Just sharing my experience.:yay: Post Reply

Posted : 31 Aug, 2011 11:43 PM VERY SORRY TO HEAR THAT U GOT TAKEN...THAT HAPPEN TO ME ABOUT 4 TIMES I NEVER SENT MONEY BUT ASKED FOR THEIR ADDRESS TO WHERE TO SEND THE MONEY TO( THEN REPORTED THEM)..BECAUSE OF SO MANY UNHONEST PEOPLE ON HERE I DECIDED TO JUST FIND FRIENDS TO TALK TO ON HERE AND NO FURTHER THEN THAT ,BECAUSE OUTSIDE OF GOD ITS HARD TO TRUST PEOPLE BEHIND THE SCREEN...I FEEL THAT IF SOMEONE IS OUT THEIR FOR ME I WILL JUST PUT IT IN GODS HANDS ...THATS JUS ME BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE DO FIND EVERLASTING LOVE ON HERE AND THEIR R SOME REALLY GOOD HONEST CHRISTIANS ON HERE BUT ITS HARD TO TELL WHO SOMETIMES...JUST LIKE IN THE REAL WORLD...BE CAREFUL AND PRAY AND MOST OF ALL PUT IT IN GODS HANDS GOD BLESS.. I met a man a few years ago who told me about helping a woman out that he met on a dating site that turned out to be a scam. I got to know this man and realized he would help anyone at all that needed his help. It seemed he was a very "foolish" type yet my memories of him is that he was one the kindest, most caring of others, and generous man I've ever met. It was his nature to just give and give and give. When I asked him about how he felt being taken advantage of by this person whom he sent over three thousand dollars over a period of a few months, he said he figured maybe this person was in a desperate situation and needed the money more than him. Anyway, I'm just saying don't feel bad for being taken advantage of. Feel good that you are a giving man. God sees the intentions of the heart if they are good or evil. Posted : 4 Oct, 2012 06:34 AM I also have the same experience like you guys I met a girl from Christian friendship, we keep in touch for couple month then she said a sad story about she lost her parents in a car accident and then she live with her uncle but her uncle got cancer now meanwhile she had no money to pay the hospital...and also she was finishing her study in nurse and she got big problem after her uncle got sick her study would be stop then she asked me to help her, of course as a Christian my heart got touching by her story.. then i went to pray and asking my Lord Jesus Christ to bless her and and suddenly i heard the Holy spirit said to me that the girl was a big liar, then suddenly i told her what i heard in my prayers then she stop contacting me and even i lost her profile on the Christian friendship site.
