From a man whose photo & profile didn’t peak my interest. And it made me realise that some men think that women of a certain age are desperate & they have to make zero effort to get the attention of a woman. How off putting, I don’t send my picture out to random men who request it. I only ever send my picture to men I’m interested in getting to know in response to a well thought out message…:-) Post Reply

Posted : 24 Dec, 2024 07:36 AM A lack of photo on a woman's profile to me signals a form of deception or lack of real interest in meeting someone or a combination of both. I guess the reality is both reasons are a form of deception. I believe that when a woman doesn't post a picture it's because she's likely unattractive and believes that if she talks long enough with a potential man that when she finally does give him a picture he will look past her lack of looks. That may work with some men but most men don't want to waste time with a woman who won't post a picture which is why most men ask for one upon first making contact or shortly after. Your headline seems to infer that just because he asked for a photo that means he thinks you're desperate. I'm just going to reiterate that he just didn't want to waste time with someone that he didn't find physically attractive. But he, like most who are really here to meet someone post at least one photo of himself which tells people he's is more serious about meeting someone where as you're not. But does that make either one of you desperate? I think not. On the other hand had his profile ticked all the right unrealistic boxes you would have sent him pictures and done anything else he wanted. Which brings me back to another discussion we had about women having a double standard for men they find more attractive. Which you just proved by only giving a picture to those you do find attractive. But here's the fly in your ointment of that kind of logic (or lack thereof). The type of man that most women find attractive won't bother even contacting you or any other women that doesn't put up at least one picture. I mean why should they when they already know they are attractive to many women and most of those women DO put up pictures. And then there's the men themselves that are desired by most women. They aren't looking for older women that have been married or have already had children. They are looking for those who are younger, submissive, with a low body count and less damaged fertile women for marriage with all others only being good for temporary fun. Most women including some men think that just because they asked God for the right spouse means all they need to do is wait around for God to drop one right in their lap. But it doesn't work like that. Or sure there are some biblical examples of that, but that was always for specific plans that God had laid out. Examples like that are few and far between. So if you're one who has opted to wait for that to happen then all I can say is good luck with that. If you really want to meet the right person then be everything the Bible tells you to be to make a good spouse and look only for what the Bible tells you to look for in a spouse. Ignore everything modern society is telling you about how you should be and what you should expect from the other person if it's not in the Bible. Even your own feelings are suspect as Satan can and does use those to betray people especially women. Post Reply
