Single Parents of Special Needs ChildrenPosted : 15 Sep, 2007 03:48 PMI'm the mother of a special needs teen. It would be nice to have a place to connect with people who have these special children or have their children in special activities. |

Single Parents of Special Needs ChildrenPosted : 14 Nov, 2007 09:46 AMI agree with you 100%. I am a mom of 2 developmentally disabled adult sons. My oldest is also schizophrenic and my youngest has Crohn's disease. I am amazed at the number of people who will not accept my sons, including those who claim to be Christian. I do believe that the Lord has someone in mind for people like us. He will reward those who diligently seek him and won't compromise our children and our integrity. There are those out there who will not accept divorced moms. It is their loss--they should not limit God. |

Single Parents of Special Needs ChildrenPosted : 18 Jan, 2010 01:52 AMIt's hard to have that kind of rejection because I know that God made your child the way he/she is and there is no justification for someone not to accept them the way God made them. God chose you to be the parent of a very special person and that is an honor. |

Single Parents of Special Needs ChildrenPosted : 2 Apr, 2011 11:09 PMDear CeCe, I have been diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, and in my adulthood Aspergers Syndrome. I have been rejected and basically an outcast all of my life. I don't have any children but I do understand what you are going through. |
